If humans would get through their thick skulls that those environments are the animals' and not ours things can be seen clearer. We are the weak ones compared to them. A lot of them can run faster than we can, definitely bite\claw us to the point of death easily, and are the reasons why our brains evolved to the point that we don't have to deal with them like we used to. We are the ones destroying their homes and wonder why they are in our backyards and attacks are going up when visiting the outdoors. Extermination is not the answer. Use that evolved brain.

The cold is purposeful, as it provides the best condition for which to test the brain's capability to handle pressure and still perform tasks. The job for a typical SEAL is a very stressful environment and with specific tasks to accomplish that would be challenging even without the stress, so how well the mind functions under stress is crucial to find out, for they can't train the mind to handle it better, for the limit of the individual is always going to be that limit. This also allows the NAVY to test the character of an individual. If, under loads of stress, harsh conditions, and a difficult path towards success, a person is prone to quitting or taking shortcuts, that is a character issue that can't be trained out of the person so it will always be a limiting factor for that person. Lastly, there is teamwork and there is self, and if a person is orientated to mostly be for themselves and not dedicated to the team, they will always be that way, and so not trustworthy to give the sacrifices needed to accomplish a mission or to ensure that their teammates survive. The NAVY can train an individual to be a stronger person. They can train an individual to have more skills. They can train a person to have a greater knowledge base to know what to do. What they can't train an individual to be is a better match for what the other SEALs need in character and spirit, that you have to bring yourself. Fairness is never a mission objective, even in training.

I'm in New Hampshire and spend half my time further north, and there are bears all over the place. I believe these are black bears and may not be as aggressive. I've experienced at least 3 sightings. Most bears will run away but don't go near any bear with cubs.

As an American myself, I can say that despite any flaws of our governmental system or any moral sins committed by the government, the United States is a democratic country, and freedom of speech is enjoyed without fear of persecution by the government. We have not been perfect, but I would still wager we are among the most democratic of all the nations, and that other democratic nations may thank us for taking the bold step and proving that government of, by, and for the people may long exist on this earth.

When my father was the in 1969 the training was so much harder. He said no matter how much you train, nothing can prepare you for war. During thee Vietnam War he was an engineer and was sent in before other marines to clear the mine fields using only their trench knife. He was sent to a place in the jungle called The Iron Triangle where they were low on food and ammo they had to fight hand to hand combat. He was in a horrible battle for 5 days with no sleep and no backup. He said he had to kill 3 Viet Cong with just his trench knife because he ran out of ammo.

Actually that is a bad advice. Currently the interest rates are high around 6%. For comparison during pandemic rates were at 2 to 2.5%. Even if you invest your money in DJ or SP500 you will make money since the interest rate is fixed for life of the loan

This routine was played on the radio. The FCC fined the station for playing vulgar and obscene material. The station fought it all the way to the US Supreme Court which ruled it vulgar but not obscene therefore not illegal. After that George no longer used implied comedy he instead throw it in your face comedy
