🤍⚪ New names for the I Legion, the XVI Legion and the XII Legion: Rock Angels (symbols of the Knights' Rock, the Knights' Winged Sword, Caliban's Earth Angel and Caliban's Lion-Wolf), (old) Luna Bulls and (old) War Wolves (symbol similar to the Space Wolves, but red and without fur).
🖤⚫ Using the Angels of Absolution as an example, isn't it cooler to give the Dark Angels (personal rename: the Rock Angels) the bone color and the Death Guard the green color?
44:32 Take the universe and grind it down to the finest atom and seive it through the finest sieve. And show me one atom of anger, of love, of hate, of jealousy, of compassion Oh Terry, oh foolish Terry, do you expect me to pretend these truths aren't real simply because they are immaterial? Some men are blind because they cannot see what their eyes show them. While some are because they cannot see beyond what their eyes show them. The latter are more pitiful than the former.
Enslaved once by a wizard of poison and rot is once again enslaved by a God of poison and rot. Turned willingly into what he hates the most the fool would still play the victim and blame others for his own weakness.
Love Corax. I believe big E looked at Corax as the 1 primarch most like himself, his secret favorite. Like all children theres always that 1 kid who is most like mom or dad, well Corax is that for the Emperor. Big E shared more actual knowledge and secrets with Corax than any other primarch or being except Malcador.
Literally listens to Eisenhorn at work in two days and it was an amazing way to not only set the tone e and setting of the grim dark 40k universe but also show the full range and scope of how things work and are set in it
It feels like the Primarchs were just too young for the Crusade, relative to their own age. Like they would've needed more time to grow up, to even understand what they do and what they take part in.
Thank you for this amazing video Amber King! Talos has become one of my favorite 40k characters ever. Though I'm a loyalist at heart, the Prophet's story in the Night Lords trilogy is so darn compelling! The Night Lords became one of the most fascinating traitor legions in 30k especially Sevatar, and their 40k story with First Claw was so compelling. So many layers indeed! And man, Uzas' fate is so heart wrenching... Talos is still a traitor and a monster, and I feel his final fate goes to show that even the traitors don't have "good endings" in this grim dark universe. In some ways, his story is definitely tragic. ADB was a genius making this trilogy and I agree completely with you about how Talos is built up maybe like an anti-hero, but ther third entry reminds us he is very much a villain. He is a monster putting the teachings of Curze to practice. And fate simply caught up to him after his many sins. Great summary of the trilogy and thanks you once again @TalesOfTerraVA for voicing the character so well!
That was great. I was a fan of the Dark Angels since I was 10, and now I am 19. Nine years ago, I had so little idea of who my favorite primarch, Lion El Jonson, was, but it has changed so much…
I know its more of short story, The Last church. Imagine having a religion to worship this Golden King, who saved him from death in a battle. Then that same golden king arrives at the church. Debates some theology and reveals himself as the emperor, tells the preacher that religion is a cancer.
If Morty had just said "Dad, you help me kill my adoptive father, give me the killing, and I'll follow you till the end of the universe" things would have come out different. But Mortys ego got in the way and Big E never had the emotional foresight to offer it.
He wouldn't be happy if he won or lost because in the end he knew he couldn't win on his own... even if he had to sacrifice everything and everyone he cared about for it.
