A Canadian couple trying to get the most out of life! We like to say "if someone asked you what you've been up to in the last week, would you have something cool to say?" and most of the time we do! haha
I’ve had my Allbirds for about 6-8 years; like I bought the Tree Runners on launch. They’ve held up pretty well over the years of every day use, it wasn’t until last year that the left shoe started to get a hole in the side (that has since grown) that I decided to go back and buy a pair of wool loungers (very comfortable sockless to wear around the house and for short errands), Tree Dashers (a good upgrade from the Tree Runners, a bit sleeker, more athletic everyday-sneakers), and Trail Runners (excellent upgrade for hiking with ankle support and improvements for grip and somewhat more waterproof). They’ve been great so far, but I’ve also been using each equally. They’re comfortable and hold up fairly well, just need to replace the insoles every 2-3 years when they’ve flattened out.
Does anybody know what prius is this? I recently bought a prius prime 2021 XLE that I want to live in but I am not finding a lot of information on how tor remove the rear seats, thank you
Love this video! I have been considering repairing mine due to all the reasons you listed. I am convinced now it is the right thing to do. Love this guy! Thankful we have a shoe repair fellow in our local town also. Will be visiting him soon:-)))
I am wearing only Birkenstocks in summer. And in Paris we walk a lot. I never succeeded to ruin the outer sole pf any of my pairs. I buy them and wear them. No breaking in necessary.
Interesting idea and i appreciate what you do. However, i live in Florida which is currently the 3rd most populated state in the U.S. and growing fast. Where I live we have a regular trash day for regular trash pick up and a recycle day for pick up of recyclables. Unfortunately some don’t even bother separating their stuff so they toss their plastic water bottles, aluminum cans, and glass jars in with their regular trash. Also in addition people like me who are single, don’t cook much (other than basics like eggs), have limited space, and are often on the go, a place like this would be a difficult sell. I am often grabbing food on the go during the week and on weekends eat out with friends. Take care.
I know they are not your favorite but I got 2 Everland 100% organic cotton tshirts for $18 each and like them. They sometimes have sales which is why they were $18 and not $30.
Two things i didn't see you mention are: 1- the climate control. The reasons to get a Prius(or any Toyota hybrid) are the MPG efficiency, reliability and being able to run air conditioner without an expensive, fiddly aftermarket setup and solar 2- where and how do y'all poop? And i guess to a lesser extent, how do you manage your garbage?
Blundstones are over rated. Rossi (another old school Australian brand) are much better made for Australian boots not made in Australia. Or just get Redbacks or Mungrals which are the only Chelsea style work boots still made in Australia.
"Go for a more functional bag"?. It depends on what you want to use it for. If you need a backpack for your laptop, buy the Kånken that is suitable for that. If you want something light for the beach or uni or work, you doesn't need a bulky, heavy backpack, go for the regular Kånken. You mentioned the straps, for those who like bulky straps, you can buy them. I've used the Kånken mini almost every day for about 8 years and it's still pretty much the same as day 1. It's amazing how long these things last. They have a ton of accessories of their own page and today I found out that they even have a cooperation with the well-known brand Primus that they have made a thermos that fits in Kånken pockets and has the same strap and colors as some bags.
That was very impressive Levi! You guys did an awesome job! If my husband and I ever fulfill our dream of renovating a camper, I'm sure that we will have to hire someone to do that job, as I'm sure that we are not capable of doing it ourselves. LOL Thanks for sharing! 😃👍
I bet you guys are so happy to be in your own space again! My husband and I are living with his mom as well with our son because she's older, but so excited to get back into our own space next year! You dont realise how much you miss personal space until it's gone, even if family is helpful 😅
My husband gets a kick out of your dad. He says he looks like a "mad scientist" when he is busy at work. Ha! Ha! It appears there is a lot of that "Canadian Humour" in your family. (I had to see if I spelled that right. I've retrained my Canadian husband to spell the American way.)
Love that you guys are prioritizing Franky. Eventhough this video was more technical than my usual interest, I’m staying a loyal subscriber. Mad respect for what you all have come together to accomplish! Sending positive thoughts and excited for the next video ❤
thanks for being here! Yeah this is more technical than what we would like to do but we needed to get it done and our next video will be very much the opposite haha.
I did the 12 volts electrics in my self built Transit 7 years ago. Like you I knew absolutely NOTHIN' bout 12 volt installation. I at first did not want to do it - BUT - the only viable option for where I lived was to do it myself. I bought Will Prowse's DIY Solar Book, that a/w plenty of RU-vid & the supplier's toll free number & the right tools & the proper connecters - I did it myself. After 120k kms of miles driven the electric's have worked without fail for 7 years over a bunch of bad back roads... 👍I would say it has been a success. 👍
10:11 You've just described my South facing North Vancouver apartment which has ZERO airflow, except during *especially* high winds -- feel your pain. 17:24 Sheer Genius! Nice setup at the end of the day, and love the windows -- they look great and should afford a lot of good airflow. Cheers!...from North Vancouver
I purchased a jacket for myself and my wife over ten years ago. When my wife's jacket having issues with its zipper, they replaced it with a new one. When mine had issues, they also gave me a new one. When the replacement after several years stopped repelling water, they gave me $500 voucher to use in store for something new.
Enjoyed ur videos and also the bonding with ur parents and the Prius as well. I really like Prius but unfortunately there’s no Prius here in the Philippines. I have Toyota Vios here
I recommend to get 12 volt fans. This way you'll have air flow and won't need to use that one in the video. Optional, 12 volt AC. Others have put one in. Cost is $$$. RU-vid channel "the fit rv" He put one in. You want to keep Leah cool inside. You could put solar panels on your truck and hook them up for traveling.
I know you guys wanna stop the personal vlogs which I totally get… but would love to see one boondocking trip with the trailer in use down the road vs just til the end of the build 🤞🏻🤞🏻
