Your video was very interesting. My health provider told me to use Mineral Oil to get the wax out of my ears. Well I did that and when I went to my hearing doc he says just a very little wax was there....but not a problem. I do wear hearing aids through. (Northern CA)
Loved the commentary and your content. It would be great if you would continue to post your work. Would love to see the more complex work that you do. Thank you for sharing the magnificent work that you do treat and heal your patients. ❤
Thats an interesting one. Im not surprised it was difficult to get out. Im guessing the larger size of the mastoid cavity made the mould bigger than the entrance
Yes, you are totally right. The hearing aid center that placed the ear mold forgot to ask if she's had surgery before. Normally for mastoidectomy patients, they will put more blocking agent like cotton balls before the mold to prevent this from happening
@@ENTExplainsSurely it would be good practice, and also common sense, to check the ear before anything is done and not take the patient’s word for it anyway. There may be wax in the way or other problems. Having a large mastoid cavity would clearly show up on examination. I hope she wasn’t charged for the removal or the bill was sent to the audiologist. They were clearly at fault and I certainly wouldn’t go back to them for a consultation.
good content, but just a thought... the camera moves so much that it makes me start to feel sick. I have seen a lot of these videos so I hope this comment is helpful to you.
Ontario Canada, im very impressed with your video and your gentle manner. I wish you were my sons ENT. He's been dizzy for months. All the tests that he has had, and still no answers
So satisfying!!! Great job doc! It’s so refreshing knowing that there are doctors like you that truly go out of their way to help patients and got her in so quickly! *from New Orleans 😊
I got her scan back and she didn't have cholesteatoma! Her ear drum is very thickened, likely from her past ear infections. I'll see her back in a few months and I let her know how to keep her ears from getting infected again.

Regarding healthcare, i can tell the pharmacies in the US near me are just slammed. So busy between insurance and prior auths, plus just so many patients and not enough trained staff given wages and support so they can successfully do their job.
Yes absolutely. I heard our neighborhood Walgreens is behind 3000 prescriptions. I feel so bad for the pharmacist and the techs there. Understaffed and overworked. Appreciate your comment!
SE Missouri here. The camera work was spot on and edited very well. Your gentleness was perfect. Your choice of "tools" was good. Overall "Ya done good" * * music was a little distracting but tolerable
Fantastic. I don’t think we consider the health of our ear canals. Very important because as we age and notice hearing loss we realise how precious it is to have clear hearing. It is miserable to have age hearing loss. My saying is “if they can think of putting a man on Mars why oh why can’t they create a perfect hearing aid!????
