Is the purpose of the expenses to directly subtract them from income? Sounds obvious and I am an accountant but you listed the full mortgage on expenses but only the net income for income. It would net you a negative if you're subtracting those numbers, when it should net the positive $700 prior to allocating to savings. We always track rental income separately to make it less confusing. The total $1200 would go in expenses and the total $1900 in income. That way, it reconciles with the bank statements. I know that's not the focus here but just was curious while watching.
I didn’t care about retirement because I don’t see myself living that long but when Caleb said your children will have to work and throw their life away to take care of you financially, I started investing right away. My children should grow up and have a life and not be burdened to take care of me and resent me for it. Tomorrow isn’t promised but neither is an early death. If there’s a chance to retire at a later age, invest.

If you cant get a job whit in your deggree then you take the job you can and apply for other jobs, i tell you if you have a deggree and you worked like a year or two in a fast food then the employer know that your a loyal hard worker and you will get that nice job you got the deggree in!!! And even in low paying job they will listen to you if you see somthing that will improve ther busnies!!! The most importent thing for an employer are loyalty, experience and that your prepered to get your hands dirty and so that job in fast food gonna be your ticket to the jobb train. I'm so tired of this generation ho thinks they gona start on the top. No you have to work your way up. To only people that starts in high paying jobb are the ones ho has the network for it. Like relatives in a company or some friend of your parents but most of us started in the botom! The smart thing to do is to work extra in like fast food when you go to collage then you would have like 3-5 yers of work experience. And then i promise you would have got that nice jobb!! And your not over qulified you have no experience so how are you over qulified??? A deggree are not the only thing that qulifie you for the jobb!!!
