The worm is supposed to have a rag in it.. that why it's pointed and curled...point pushes threw the cloth and the screw hold it in place...doing as they are bare metal in that bore isn't correct
Dan Patterson! I had him for an English class at UNC around 1976 on the texts of traditional music. He was a wonderfully warm and knowledgeable professor! We heard a lot of god music in the class. (I wrote my term paper on shape note singing.)
My actual little brother came to live with me for a few months in 2007 and he played "The Minstrel Show" at our apartment and instantly I was like "Yo who the fuck is this?!" he was like "What? You dont know about these cats? They about to be your favorites, watch." He wasnt lying I bumped all the LB's FOR YEARS and still do check for them to this day. They in my Top 4 of Hip Hop groups of all time (Tribe, Wu-Tang, EPMD, Little Brother). Saw them perform live once here in Seattle and it was great. I went through some tough times from 2007-2014 or so and to say LB helped carry me through it would be an understatement.
listened to this a bunch of times, then was lucky to catch them live locally last year, i was like wow they are for real right there, such amazing talent and feeling. thanks so much for sharing your music.
This is really important and sad to hear about what had happened to all of the slaves But I know that it's important to keep us informed so that We won't have to repeat those tactics of enslavement. Thanks for this video 😀📸😍😊
How can I get in contact with Dr Moore I have a new discovery in northern Nevada concerning pre ice age human footprints and possible culture or early human civilization on my land also found with the footprints several Hunter gatherer tools.
Gerald Barrax was my father. He was born in 1933 (70 years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed(, so he was only two generations removed from our enslaved, uneducated ancestors. In my opinion, that makes his accomplishments as a published poet, a professor and being recognized for his contributions to literature that much more notable.
Hey Adam, I believe that is the prettiest fiddle song I have ever heard. If only she would play a heart felt solo of just her and the fiddle with rosined heart strings. If only they would re release Hey Adam just as it was played in this video. I'd buy several to give away. This version makes the one on CD lame.
Be sure to pay a visit to #WakeCountySpeedway, located just south of downtown Raleigh near the N.C. Museum of History. We've been turning left on our 1/4-mile paved oval since 1962! We're NASCAR sanctioned and we race most Friday nights, April thru mid-September.🏁
My channel is loaded with different NC confederate buttons, especially the cadet schools. The Hillsborough Military Academy students were tossed into the battle of Bentonville as Jr reserves. I have that schools button and NC military institute ran by DH hill
I've listened to this 100 times and my thoughts could be 10 thousand pages of love and joy and hurt held together by decade's of our ancestors pride believing ones better than another as it steals the very soul of another that was loved by many and was standing for love and i feel there hurt in these voices so strong it leaves me speachless
My great, great, great grandpa was a Gunner in 5th Virginia Heavy Artillery, and was present at Appomattox at the end of the war. Seeing this in a way was very surreal, and very enjoyable. What'd I'd give to have a conversation with that man lol. Now I understand why my reenactor buddies enjoy it so much. Damn near a decade late, but thanks for the video, even if I am this late lol.
