Ok, so you have part of your D-style amp in OD, and on top you're demoing 2 D-style pedals? The tone is not true tone from the pedals! You're mixing the tone of your D-style amp in OD with the tone of the pedals....
Well the point of this video is to compare the two pedals. I think since theyre both going through the same exact rig, it’s a fair comparison. The sound of the amp is irrelevant as long as theyre going through the same amp. Inevitably as “dumble” as they may be, after going through the tone stack and then the speaker, other things really ultimately influence the sound. But this wasn’t necessarily a demo of each pedal as much as it was just a comparison.
Dropped my son's 10 year old set of SSS Zexcoils into my MIA Strat which I thought sounded pretty decent...but lacked that special magic I get from my Teles with Lollars or Fralins....and WOW!!!! I wanted to get a boutique Strat....no need....my strat now sounds like my two boutique teles. All 5 positions sound wonderful, useful, balanced...add in this tone shaping feature that I don't quite understand and it further expands it's tonal pallet. Reminds me of my Reverend and its 'bass control' knob...very versatile.

Mine is coming tomorrow. I’m gonna turn the nut, string it in reverse. Then record in reverse. That way I’ll have an idea what a somewhat parallel universe might be like but we’re already in one so………
How to balance and keep each style at the same volume? because each style has high dynamic volumes for some styles and low for others.... for example, I connect my beatbuddy mini 2 directly to the soundboard... I use the ROCK style, I adjust the volume.... but when I change it to FUNK or BLUES the volume is lower and interferes with the performance when playing live... because I'm using it in bars and events with voice and guitar.
Great demo Camillo. Since you have such deep experience with fractal I have a question. I own an axe fx 2 xl and recently I've noticed that when the unit has been in use for awhile (i.e. 30-60min) there is a noticeable unpleasant change in tone. I'll describe it as brittle and fizzy. Any thoughts?
Hola bro! Depende mucho del sonido que quieres. El Ruckus va a empujar el amp. Buscas un sonido mas americano (fender, mesa, etc) Mas dumble? Mas britanico (vox), con gain? (Marshall, etc)?
@@CamiloVelandia gracias hermano, esque la verdad intentaba con algunos modelos de amplificadores y el sonido de la distorsion (Ruckus) se ahogaba, gracias por responder
