This might be the dumbest idea ever, but I was wondering: what about inserting white glue withing the corrugated walls of the cardboard? Like, I'd have to add a little water to the white glue to make it less viscous, but after I insert and after it dries I think the cardbox is going to be mightily hardened. Have you tried this method or heard of it? Some care would be needed during the curing of the glue inside the cardbod, I know. But still.

Dremel yes, if you can afford it. A Ferarri, if you can afford it. For household use a cheapy will do. If it burns out, so what? buy another one.

I have like a weird certain blockage with my hot glue gun. The hot glue got pushed back and it created a blockage in the spot where you can see where the hot glue goes and it just takes a lot of force to get even a drop of hot glue out and I doubt that it’s going to make it any easier to put another glue stick in when it runs out.

Thank you so much! This is very helpful! I make cardboard model cities to scale with matchbox and HO scale trains. I almost never use curves because they are so difficult but i wanted to include them in a train station i am going to make. Going to use this video!

I use epoxy resin and fiberglass cloth and I coat the fiberglass cloth and poxy resins and stick it on there and then coat some more epoxy resin on top and I do this a few times and it makes it really really hard but if I'm building some kind of like model or something I'll just use craft wood which is like 1/4 thick piece of wood and I just cut it with a band saw I think it's called and just cut the pieces out the way I needed to cut or I'll use a jigsaw if I find a blade that won't like mess it up or one of those round blades I forgot what they call them but it's they use it for grinding metal or for cutting metal and I just use it for sometimes wood and they have little tiny discs that I can use and what the tiny does it can use it for small pieces

Usually use Dremels for cutting metal, plastic, sanding or cleaning something small. Handy. My Dremel 4000 gave out after about 6 or 7 years. The 4000 seems more ergonomic, lighter. Not sure if I would enjoy using the 4300 as much.

When I need double-wall cardboard, I buy the Heavy Duty moving boxes from Home Depot or Lowes. Cheap, and there are various size boxes to choose from. There's always just gluing two pieces together, of course, but I'd rather start with it already together. Thanks for making these videos, I find them very helpful.

Looks like the wood glue is filling in the gaps from the corrugated part of the cardboard, since I believe wood glue can also be used as a filler. I have a gallon of titebond original that I now want to try this with.

I’ve accidentally put in a size just a little tiny bit bigger than the usual size for my hot glue gun, I can’t get it out and it’s making it not work/not get hot, how can I get it out? I mixed the regular and tiny bit bigger size all together, but I can easily tell them apart bc one is clear glue and one is white glue. Any tips?

My cardboard projects are always finished with paper mâché. If you mix equal parts water and flour then add equivalent amount of mod podge and stir, this applied to paper or cloth and then to the cardboard will dry and be extremely strong, especially if it cures for a couple or weeks or longer.

is there a guide onto how to stick 2 carboard pipes (usually from tin-foil rolls) of same diameter on the inside together? (i want to connect them together, but the outside diameter is thicker, therefore larger than the other)

1) Take 2 pieces of single corrugation cardboard. Lay piece 1 on the table with the corrugation up/down and glue piece 2 on it with the corrugation left/right (so a 90 degree rotation) --> strong duoble corrugated piece. 2) Use kebab scewers (thicker than toothpick) and smear them with hot glue or PVA glue and then insert them into the corrugation holes. 3) Coat the whole cardboard with a mixture of water and PVA glue (the water will soften the cardboard letting the glue soak into it) --> if it warps after it dried, do the same but on the other side.
