Interesting insights into talent acquisition in diverse industries like oil and gas and tech. Giles has incredible experience of cultural differences, having worked in various countries around the globe. Vit Koval kept the promise to talk on the subject as announced in the headline of this interview.
Thank you for having me, Vit! It was a wonderful experience, great questions, and a testimony to what so many of my colleagues strive to deliver in recruiting: options for securing talent, remarkable experiences, and constant efforts to optimize and change for the future.
Never even heard of these people. Looks like they’re just a lab hoster with a proprietary platform. Thats not really leading anything. There are loads of those. Culture first means hard-work last. They must have loads of people who sit on their humps and don’t get anything done. In case no one is paying attention DEI is being canned by everyone because its stupid. Its a massive waste of time and money because it creates delusion rather than alignment. I would wager culture first doesn’t yield very “skillable” employees. They probably have a massive knowledge gap internally since they focus on playtime so much. She sounds like shes reading buzz phrases off chat gpt. 😣 sounds disingenuous.
Man, I had a TON of great candidates at my last employer where I'd get down to 3 stellar candidates for each of 3 jobs and I fully expected to make offers and then the Board of Directors would put yet another hiring freeze in place! I felt so bad for these stellar candidates who were so excited to get our offer and join us. These were backfill positions too. Wish I had had Tofu while there.
Hey, thanks for the kind words! It was absolutely fantastic having you on the show. Your insights and experiences added so much value to our conversation. Stay awesome, and let's keep in touch!
Couldn't agree more with Chris on the potential of remote work and global talent. His emphasis on technological infrastructure and structured hiring processes makes a lot of sense. 💯💯💯
