I agree with Alex about the learning and shooting point he made. I have a range 45 minutes from home that can be shot out to 850. And it’s a training facility open to the public. I can go there and shoot in a 25 yard long 30 foot wide lane all to myself and do all the John wick high speed burn it down stuff. But that gets old. It’s a I have to do this to stay fast up close. Shoot some pistol. Shoot some rifle on 1x/red dot, lots of shot gun work in there. But then being able to go get up above the 100 yard firing line and shoot out to 850. Just for the damn fun of the constant learning process and honing of the skill. Weather it’s with a 16” AR with an lpvo or mpvo or the 22” bolt gun in a larger caliber. It’s just fun and feels good being able to be proficient with a 357 snub nose in bad breath distance, a Glock 19 or whatever semi auto 9mm from bad breath to 25-50 yards, the ARs, bolt guns, shotguns. I means with those 5 what can a prepared citizen now do from self defense to hunting to the world has gone completely sideways and 911 isn’t coming. It’s a full circle whole package kinda thing.

Administrators need to recognize and listen to informal leaders who contribute positively, and manage out informal leaders who ate cancerous to the org. Administrators need to not be afraid of subordinates who have ideas.

I’d disagree that police primary objective is prisoner taking. Amy police officer who’s more focused on arresting people than everything else police have to do. That’s VERY concerning. I know these guys aren’t stepping on anyone’s rights. But police focusing on arrests more than whatever else. That’s concerning. Unless they’re drug/gang unit/chasing predators ect. But regular beat cops? Arrests should NOT be their primary concern and objective

This needs to make its way through the fire arm community. We allll are in the same page about carry a gun and know how to use it. But carrying spray, using other tools for other problems. Is so valuable. And the lack of those things in common place in the community is exactly why the perception towards 2a folks is “trigger happy sociopaths” because we don’t help our self as a community in that regard. I think condensing Info to bite sized blurbs will be the death of intelligence. We live where almost anything we could want to know is at out fingertips, bit it doesn't even occur to most to look for it. I know there is a happy medium and we don't was 7 hour presentations on an optic. But if you assimilate your content to fit with a generation giving themselves ADD, you're only perpetuating the issue. I legitimately has a 23 year old ask me how to change a tire because they didn't want to skim a 5 minute YT video on it or seek an article on Google. I see other similar things constantly. TikToks and YT shorts are cancer.
On "pinning the trigger", if it makes you faster, more accurate, and less likely to miss, it may be a hill worth dying on. Especially in a profession where things like that could be life changing. It's also easier to learn the right way than it is to unlearn the wrong way and relearn what's correct.
