I don’t think I have ever heard anyone say to start with older kids first. 🤔 But I might have to give it a try. 🤷🏻♀️ I have a 3yo and 1yo who are not loving the fact that their older sister can’t play whenever they want to.

Thanks for the great tips! And You are absolutely right about the fat storage, lol. Nice comparison of margins.. Fat storage was very helpful for times when we did not know where our next meal might come from, but unfortunately we have become come too good at fat storage, especially in Western cultures 🥴
Love your strategy for scheduling their subjects according to when the kids are most alert and motivated. My daughter is really slow moving in the morning, so pushing her to be productive and active first thing in the day always backfires for us 😬 I let her have plenty of time to wake up 😊
I thought you were charging for the tips at the end. Im sorry. I have had a very stressful 1st week of school. I've got older kids. My oldest is in 8th grade. It gets way harder as they get older because there are so many ages to teach and I feel overwhelmed. @PlanPrepPray

1. Like can staples work on their packaging lol. I’m pretty sure someone was like let’s make work more fun and just send the smallest things in individual boxes 😂😂😂😂 2. You are pure sunshine and joy. I remember discovering the twistable crayons and colored pencils for my son years and years ago. It was a life-saver because he applied too much pressure when writing/drawing. He is a Senior this year and can use a big boy pencil, lol. I do miss buying all of the fun stuff.

@@PlanPrepPray That's the first time I've ever seen that used in a curriculum. Hey ,if it works, it works. I feel like my kids would get very confused seeing that and want to write it upside down lol. Dyslexia is a thing in our house haha. Thanks for the quick response!

We know plenty of homeschooling families and also know even more families in the public schools around here, plus private school families and public charter school families and families using a combination over the years. Hands down, the home life is where it's at. I don't mean homeschool. I mean the quality of the parents and the home that the kids are raised in. I'm seeing some truly fantastic human beings graduating high school and college. They love Jesus, they love and respect their families, they make good life choices, and more. Kids from all schooling options. And I'm seeing kids struggling like riding the struggle bus is an Olympic sport and they're going for the Gold. Again, kids from all schooling options. 🩷 I'm so glad to live in a time when schooling options are endless and we can all pursue our best option for our personal circumstances. Putting others down for choosing a different education path for their family is a rough way to live. We can be confident in our own choices even when others make a different choice.
Thank you for your question! It was definitely a challenge, but taking breaks and asking for support really helped me navigate that time. I was mindful of the fact that my body was growing a baby. I made sure to rest, do a lot of things on the couch, and outsource.
This was such a a great talk! Can you please do a video on socialization or Friday finding your tribe? When you are new to an area it is hard! It can be a hit or miss
