You do not need to have ev6 plugged in to warm it up remotely. This is a great feature to be able to get into a warm car on a frosty morning. The GT line has a “snow mode “ for those infrequent snowy mornings. I’m now thinking of replacing and seriously wonder what will I buy other than another EV6. (My wife has an ENYAQ.
Any issues that I have had with fast charging in the two and a half years since I bought my EV6 have been due to human error or poorly spelled out instructions at the EV charge point. I’ve had a few people ask me if it was the new Porsche 😂.

Cool bus. Can you please do Toyota Corolla TS GR sport review. Very interesting to know if new 140hp variant is good enough, or better to stretch and get 2.0 from UK
I want an single motor (that's all they have here) Ultra however in Australia it's 75k driveaway. For a single income household for me it's aa bit pricey
Hi Mark. I own a Vito van. Its the first version of the latest design, so about 9 years old now. Its a great all rounder (lot better quality and durability than the Peugeot Expert i had). I drive it all over the country for business, but its great for leisure. It made its annual pilgrimage down to Le Mans this year, with all camping gear and bikes inside. On a normal run I get about 45 mpg but if I'm careful it will go up to 50 mpg. Manual gearbox and base 2 litre engine.
I never really get the obsession with flat floors in boots. Unless you are carrying small but really heavy items all the time, like what? Gold bars? Its better to place items down into boot. They dont fall out when you open boot. And lets face it , you carried the item to the car and then lifted it to waist height.
This one will be a success. I have ordered, and I know of many others who have too. In Norway, electric cars are quite common and almost everyone only buys electric cars, including trucks. Beautiful car!
Was enjoying this video until Nobby just had to go and let us know "there is an EV version". Jeez, you just can't get away from the duracell option. I hired an Opel Movano recently to help a friend move house and the handbrake in it left a lot to be desired, as in you'd nearly dislocate your right shoulder leaning down to release it. You need a four foot long arm to make sure it's properly disengaged. Stupid design. While the van had parking sensors (which was a first in all the vans I've hired), they only seemed to activate if you were practically on top of what you were reversing against. Why don't they have rear view cameras???
Hi i live in france and have the spring since two years its fantastic once you get used to the range limit its actually fun .The range in miles is about 120 - 150 dépends how you drive its not à sports car so 150 miles is double with careful use of the accelerater. On holidays we do about 400 to 500 miles with à full charge before we leave we normally chargé twice on the way adding about 2 ' 2 1/2 hours to the trip ofcourse we need to charge on arrival it does not takeaway from the holiday bob
Hi Nobby the middle Nobby in between the heated seats and climate controls if swiped turns into a volume dial...see other videos. 👍🏻 So much tech now days it's impossible to keep up. Great video as usual.... It's a strong contender for our new car as they don't make VW Passat estate r-line. 😭
Nissan mechanics don't want to work on these vehicles. My Leaf had a short. Mechanic couldn't find the problem. $1600 to start diagnosing. No way, I'm out. Nissan stinks.
EV database real world range figures :- Highway warm weather 145 miles. Highway cold weather 110 miles. That is when the car is brand new. A lithium ion battery degrades with time and use cycles. My EV has lost 42% capacity in just over 8 years and 40 k miles and this car's battery will also degrade. I will never touch an EV ever again. They are just not fit for purpose.
What car do you have? What process did you follow for charging? How much AC charging did you do versus rapid charging? Considering manufacturers cover that level of degradation under warranty, did you seek to make a claim? Await your response.
@NobbyOnCars Nissan leaf Teckna 30 kwhr 6.6 charger in Arctic White, made in Sunderland and driven in the NE of England. Charged at home where I could manage a time charge on octopus go 4 hours overnight charge between 00.30 and 04.30, the leaf having no in car control for 80% cut off on a 7 kw home charger. Earlier leafs evidentally did I am told but Nissan deemed it unessessary. The car was not excessively rapid charged. Nissan takes away a certain portion of the leaf battery anyway, so you can't access it and don't fully charge the battery to the actual 100 % capacity, that was the design safeguard. The car is never left for long perids on the charger at an indicated 100%, like you would like to believe. If you read the Nissan warranty, it says that they will only return the capacity to 9 battery bars out of 12, before 8 years, only repairing or replacing cells, not a new battery and only at their discretion I.e. no warranty at all. Also you have to pay for a battery check before any claim, which like I said has no guarantee of being fulfilled before the 8 years were up. I had 8 battery bars just before the 8 years were up, which if I had made a claim and they honoured it, which they didn't have to ( at their discretion ) they would have only taken the capacity up 1 bar for a short period before it inevitably degraded again. So what was the point. Now down to 7 battery bars after the 8 years was up. EV's are not fit for purpose as I have said and also like I said, all lithium ion batteries degrade with time and use cycles. It is just what they do. I also have a 16 year old Mercedes E Class diesel, which has been brimmed constantly and filled at an energy rate many multiples faster than rapid charging the leaf and still has the 650 mile range I bought it with and still does 51 mpg at highway speeds, at a much cheaper cost than rapid charging an EV on a run. Like i said, I will never buy another EV again, only a fool would. This is my response pal, from a real EV consumer. I won't rub it in though and tell you about my other, other car, a 20 year old Mazda MX5, which also works perfectly well. If you insist on an EV's battery only being charged to 80%, then you can reduce the real world ranges for the Citroen proportionately, which makes it even worse, i.e., 116 and 88 miles respectively, which is atrocious. When I bought my EV, there was only a few on the road, the majority of EV's now are fairly new and haven't had the chance to show severe degradation. One thing for certain, you won't see a 20 year old EV.
@@stevezodiac491 interesting to hear your experience. I don’t think anyone is in the dark about lithium batteries degrading, I guess replacing the cells would’ve been better than nothing. I do think we’ll see 20 year old EVs but it will be car / brand specific. I’d be very surprised for example if there’s not 20 year old Teslas, Toyotas, BMWs, BYD etc Have a 20 year old MX-5 myself, great car. On the Citroen, which is not your car, the battery chemistry is quite different. LFP batteries will become more prevalent in cars. For every Merc story, there’s another one that gave endless trouble, that’s just the nature of cars. There’s plenty of Leafs still knocking around despite your experience of a bad one so it’s hard to generalise about these cars from one example.
Ford knew perfectly well they were being handed down outdated / annoying features from the ID4. It was cheaper for them without going to the expense of redesigning them. I can envisage old Henry looking down in disbelief at this piece of rubbish… that his great grandson, Jim Farley & Martin Sander (who was in charge of this clone & has now left Ford and gone to VW…) think is the future of Ford… The day when some faceless bureaucrats decide to change the legendary and iconic Ford emblem, will be the end of Ford
Its 3 years later - I am in market for a 2022 Raptor (as above) or a 3l v6 Amarok (also 2022). I never tow, don't do much real 4x4 climbing etc - do drive gravel road and dirt tracks for work. What would you buy? Please - the decision is killing me.
Nobby, I am wondering what's your opinion about build quality in these Cupras's? Might sound stupid comparison, but we own 21' Octavia and 23' manual diesel Formentor. I find Octavia much better quality materials and built quality. Ps I remember 310hp Formentor was 77 000e and I had to ask guy what type of drugs are they using😂 Almost 80k for Cupra.
Hope we get this in Australia - I am sure it will be a 6 speed auto. Current car is a C4 Cactus 1.2l Puretech petrol with 6 speed auto - performs really well. It has been a great car. The new C3 attracts me with its styling and Progressive Hydraulic Cushion suspension.
"If they'd released it on time it may have been quite forgettable" she said....🤔IF it's remembered now, it will likely be for the wrong reasons, than the very few & far between right ones (IMO!)
If it’s anything like my babied Golf it will be shit. High pressure fuel pump at 40,000 km. New DSG $5000 at 70,000 km. Water leak into carpet. Leaking through speaker. Strip interior twice $1600. Unfortunately it’s brilliant to drive.
I've got one identical to this coming in a couple of weeks, except in black. I currently have a 3008 Allure Premium with the same powertrain. I've had it 3 years, and the 408 is going to save me £50 a month on my lease. Bargain!!! £248 a month
Everybody I inow with a Leaf ate very happy with it. I just rode on Leafs as a TVDE client and i was imoressed. Very quiet. Spacious enough. High quality materials. Good ergonomics etc. As a matter of comparison, I have also rode in the e-C4 (much lighter inside and even more comfortable but not so good materials...they are ok, just not excellent) and the Tesla 3. The Tesla is in my opinion the worse of the 3. To harsh of a ride, worst ergonomics, not enough space, horrible plastics that aged badly and bad fit and finish. I like this one but... I pretty only drive on motorways for distances of around 380km so, this is still not for me.
I fail to see why car manufacturers are removing buttons in favour of touch screens which are impossible to keep clean. Lovely car but the price is not nice and puts it against some serious competition. It would be hard to avoid penalty points.
For me goes like this, best hybrid tech with a few but impactful details you won’t find in another car, for those two you have to pay the price. Also blame eu for import taxes from Japan 🇯🇵
