It's amazing, listening to the memories of people who created something that I loved as a kid, and that I still love! ... I don't doubt working with puppets was difficult, but they made it look easy, due to their amazing skill and creativity! Thank you to you all, for the happy childhood memories! ❤️
Marionettes would require a lot of anticipation due to the delay in the strings from the talented puppeteers. The Terrahawks puppets definitely were an advantage for ease of movements, but excluding leg movements, which was an advantage of the Marionettes. Good video, thanks!
As a kid watching these back in the day I found absolutely amazing. Now as an old man I now realize that this was complete artistry. Good memories to be sure.
These shows were the narrative of my childhood. I can still recall the sense of exvitement watching the drama of Thunderbirds. Thank you Mr Trim for some wonderful memories.
In all seriousness, I loved Thunderbirds. Great times and my earliest memories as my mum tells me how she used to sit and watch it with me. She will be 100 next month and still remembers the names of all the pilots.Bless you mum.
"That was great guys.... that looked fantastic. Really incredible, brilliant. Ummmm, thing is, that was the main set we had scheduled to film the big finale and all the B-roll we needed. That one in the corner was the expendable miniature to destroy."
Sorry, but Martin Landau never looked "tough" to me with his skinny arms and trademark slouch. As for Freiberger's reputation, it's been noted that that's undeserved. He was always brought in as the last resort, not when a series was riding high. So the shows were already dying. He didn't kill them.
Your imagination and creativity gave me, a 68 year old, so much fun watching Thunderbirds as a youngster. Behind the scenes details were so amazing. Thank you for having that gift.
That was a stroll down memory lane. Brilliant. Compare and contrast our childhoods then to what children experience now. I'd go back to that era in a heartbeat. PS. My era was Fireball XL5, Supercar, Stingray and Thunderbirds when whacking the side of the tele got the valves working again.
Gerry's attitude to people is so odd. The things he focuses on are very strange. I read his book and I find him baffling. Tyrannical and avuncular. A genius. Fascinating
To use 60's / 70's parlance, Captain Scarlet was "dishy!" 👍😜❤️ ... Wonder if he'd be up for some, "no strings fun?" 🤣 I like Captain Black too! ... Everybody likes a bad boy!
