If we want to look at cells and tissues at a microscopic scale using a light microscope then we should understand how we prepare the tissue, cut it, adhere it to a slide and stain it. This will help us understand the shapes that we see and the artefacts that can be made.

Histology lessons from you would be a dream come true Dr Webster. Thank you so much for all of your hard work in making these videos - they are all really helpful and are often truly inspiring.

I didn’t use to like histology that much because I didn’t appreciate it in the same way I did with anatomy, but after this extraordinary lecture I’m way more interested in histology than ever before!! Dr.Sam, you have the power to transfer your passions and interests to other students which is AMAZING. Thank you for doing this, and I’m looking forward to your next lecture on histology.

I never thought I would find an esteemed and talented doctor on youtube who will break down histology like you did .....

Dear Sam, I just got tumor removed and I'm waiting for histology analysis. I learned from you in past weeks a lot surrounding it. It's great to follow you! And now I might just see a slice of my own tumefact under microscope, and know to distinguish it from shading artifacts that you explained. That would be the ultimate! Please be thorough in your upcoming video! ❤

How amazing video. Being an architect I knew by looking at a finishing bldg had a lot working detail behind, but in biology it is such an imaginable discovery. Thank you for your effort in such a beautiful explanation.

Hello sam I really love ur videos. They help me with my anatomy preparations. But.. i would really appreciate if u could make some embryology videos as well. Although u usually eplain some embryology while your gross videos, i think that watching a video completely dedicated to embryology from you would really help. Especially with the visualization Thank you very much.

Great series ! Could have been even better if you had some sort of a pointer to point at what you are talking about since identifying structures in a histology section is really hard for an untrained eye. Thank you !
