You’re my all time favorite knife reviewer. I have a profound and deep love of pocket knives from my childhood and your reviews have connected that part of my childhood with my adult life. I’ll be forever grateful for your contribution to the community and I look forward to however you may choose to continue contributing your perspectives and insights. 🙏🏼☀️
Nick i appreciate your vids especially on a Saturday. These haters dont have to watch, hey hey i digress. Keep up what your doing by far my favourite reviewer. Stay safe
Funny you mention the lock bar access on that CRKT because they actually had all of the new Walker collab models manufactured in Italy (Lion Steel or MKM), and typically all the Italian made knives I've personally handled have dropped the ball on their heat treats (specifically M3900) and also their piss poor lock bar access 😂 When I heard it was Italian made during Bladeshow footage I was thinking "watch it have shit lock bar access", and now here I am watching the great Nick Shabazz who just confirmed the issue I pre-assumed it having. BTW glad to see your Holt locking up solid; after all the transparent knife fail videos on reddit I wasn't so sure about the Holt's latest run liner lock solidity. Anyways, have a good one Batman, uhhh, I mean Nick 💪
"Maslow's hierarchy of needs", nice one! I haven't heard that for a while. Folding knives are slipping down my list. I've finally started carrying one of those shoulder bags/fanny pack things. It's 40°C in Seville and I can't carry things in my jacket. I've discovered for fanny pack carry you can't beat a Victorinox Compact. Just so. I am definitely more interested in philosophical questions around the knife hobby.
Like the format good vid. Hey the Pyrite reminded me to mention the new Ohlone GOAT. Looks similar but is an Axis lock style. Yes vanilla like the CRJB but something about it pulls me in like the basic but timeless CRK designs. Anyways I'd love to see inside the new Goat hope you get one in hand because you are the disassembly guru and I appreciate you for that very much.
Can't wait for a Titanium Large Pyrite. Really love the OG version with the Micarta and Titanium Bolsters I got from KnifeCenter for under 100 bones. That Walker CRKT is really interesting, but somehow it still "looks like a CRKT", which isn't really a compliment, especially at the price they will be asking. The Divo Mash is my favorite new knife, but the hole needs some work and I wish it had a front flipper. You wouldn't like the limited availability of it though.
Just step up to a higher trooper of knife. I jumped from the $300-500 range to the $600-1000 range and it completely renewed my enthusiasm. The moment my new Koenig Arius came in, it was like a kid on Christmas all over again. The act of saving for the knife, the anticipation, the hunt for the perfect spec and finally getting it in hand was what I had experienced years ago
@@freestatefellow Id recommend getting into heroin before i ever recommend getting into watches. When people think "getting into shoes," they generally think the Jordan's crowd and look at me like im crazy for even slightly mentioning the subject. Thats a hobby I usually keep to myself. Cologne/Fragrances is pretty cool too.
What's the issue with using g2 cartridges? What's the better alternative if you don't want to deal with fountains? Until they can make a retractable hi-tec-c, you'll never do better than the g2 cart
Man. Guess I'm getting too old for the new knife of the week game. I saw these lined up on the desk and thought, "oh boy, he's going to review the knives he bought at a 7-11".
Thanks Nick. Cool to see what’s new to you on your table. I wish I had the budget for the Ti Atom or Neutron. If you choose to move your Exo-M, can you please keep me in mind?
You said you'd never heard Michael Walker and crkt together but my 1st CRKT from maybe 20 years ago was a Walker design. Called the Bladelock. It was a different kind of lock design that only came out on one knife as far as I know. I have a modified version which turns it into a dangerous automatic which will fire in your pocket.
Very nice diversified selection, Sir. Hoping to hear your input on the Katsu ZDP-189 series. The CF version is out of my range, but I bought 2 of the titanium flippers. You've taught us what to look for. Show me what I missed!
its funny, im getting burned out from the knife world, i am happy i finally got a skaha 2 other than that, my carry is just rotating between the same 4 knives
All these products with magnets in them, these days: multitools, knives, flashlights…intimidating to carry as a guy who usually wears an automatic watch
Would you ever consider doing a video or series of videos highlighting some details similar to your old Slysz Bowie video? Is there anything that has you passionate enough to even start thinking about it?
Can we just have some left handed versions of these and I would be happy. I like the look of that upgraded CRJB Pyrite but button locks, compression locks for right under people are a pain for me to work with.
Nick, have you ever reviewed the Warlock Paragon by Asheville Steel? Another gravity knife, but I think much more practical than the EXO. I have one, and kind of love it. I'd be interested in your opinion.
Nick you throwing out a curveball 2022? That one had me thinking I had lost a year somewhere lol. As always excellent stuff from the one and only Batman🫵🏻😘🍻
