Well, it all depends what you use it for… I have used Sony and Nikon…but changed for size,style and colours, for a wile I use Xt4 ,XT5 and XH2 for my professional work and I don’t have any issues…I use Fujifilm because I love the look, the weight and the files, colours are beautiful… I do not need autofocus… I am a single point shooter, I don’t want to rely on the auto focus… The biggest problem with a good auto focus is when you are shooting a family the autofocus just keeps jumping and focusing on what I don’t want… that’s why I shoot single point… yes, I can use single point with any camera, but I choose Fujifilm for my professional work… I think people rely on technology , specifically autofocus to create art… stop chasing the latest and greatest… stop listening and watching negative information about other people experiences, and spend time in taking pictures and become better at photography… Fujifilm doesn’t work for some people but also works for a lot people… We only hear that’s is not good, how about hearing from people that actually work, and how they use the tool?if you scared to use your tool for professional work, means that you haven’t Master your tool… I use it for my professional work, and I’m not just saying… my Fujifilm work is on my website to prove it www.alanjcravophotography.co.uk

26mm is the new legendary pancake lens! I have this thandem ZF + 26 (also 40mm) and it is a great combination. I remember the good times when I used Canon with 24mm f2.8 and 40mm, but Nikon surpasses them in quality and character. Congratulations!

Glad you are putting this out there, I remember when I bought the XT-3 and thinking that over time Fuji would solve their auto focus issues. It’s frustrating that I now own the XT-5 and the auto focus is still the downfall of the camera. My last shoot, my frustration was on another level because the auto focus was not sticking to the models eye/face and she was barely moving. I keep on being dumb founded that this is still an issue in 2024.. :(

I shoot weddings and did so for awhile with Fujifilm. My tolerance was lower and I sold my gear almost a year ago for Sony. I'm not really as inspired by Sony, but they get the job done flawlessly. Sucks, because I really loved Fuji.

Hello Lee, i recently discovered your channel and i'm really liking your work, one think i hope is that your content would focus more on actual photography aspects of your work instead of solely gear like any other channel here on youtube. Show us how you approach photography from lighting, compositions, posing, locations and post editing with high emphasis whats more important which is light. I hope the best for you.

I recently upgraded my xt5 to the 4.0 and I found that I have much more miss focus than before. Often nothing is in focus often the focus is on the top of the hair or where it shouldn’t be. Walking pace subjects in street photography our out of focus. It’s so outrageous!!

I own a Fujifilm XT-2 that has a bunch of hot/dead pixels on the sensor. I love this camera but would it be better to get it fixed or upgrade at this point because I want to do professional work with this system? I love your work and advice.
@lee.ronin.photography
@lee.ronin.photography 18 дней назад
Ah yeah, at that point I would look for another camera! If you don't want to jump to a different eco-system, I would recommend looking for a used XT4. Similar design and body, better battery life and you can use the lens you already have.

I'm going through the exercise you described where I'm reflecting on what I shoot and why I want to change. While there are many things I like about Fuji (Mainly colours SOOC) my biggest gripe is autofocus, specifically false green boxes. Shooting on XH2 and Xt3. Don't do this for money at this point, but missing some moments I won't be able to re-create has left a really bad taste in my mouth. I have about $8k worth of fuji glass and bodies, and seeing the AF systems in action on Canon, Sony, and Nikon really triggering my want to jump. Crazy how bad the AF is on xh2 compared to other cameras in the same $$ range
@lee.ronin.photography
@lee.ronin.photography 18 дней назад
Preach! If you need reliable autofocus to be able to capture precious moments.... I would consider switching over to a different system if possible. The number one reason why I ended up buying a Panasonic Lumix S5IIX.... huge upgrade on the AF side. I don't miss as much during weddings as much anymore haha. I still have my XT4 and my GFX 100sii for that Fuji SOOC we all love.
@saulsigalov
@saulsigalov 18 дней назад
@@lee.ronin.photography Thanks for the advice! And interesting to hear the S5IIX reccomendation. I hear they are king with IBIS and Video options but meh with autofocus. ALways considered it more of a video centric camera so write it off a bit. I was a bit interested in the built in timelapse features and the high res mode all done in camera though. I'll keep an eye out and subscribe for a review from you!

Totally agree, Years ago my first camera was a Sony a6400 then I have a “Friend” who wanted to learn shooting events, so we learned together and work together for clients that time he bought a Xt100… more clients pass by as we grow in shooting event and have the money to upgrade what we want or need. On my side I purchased a Fujifilm XT4 because as I edit the xt100 i got hook on fuji and its simplicity and revolve around creating images and passion. On his side he upgraded on a Canon R6. Before the upgrade He praised the quality the editing of a XT4. Everything change when He got that R6 as He upgrades more and more to the point He started saying my xt4 as getting outdated or outclassed by his camera and he wanted me to upgrade on a “Real Camera”…On my perspective I really don’t need to upgrade on whats the latest and greatest I’m just happy taking pictures and get quality work for my clients. By the way I recently subscribed and started watching your content,Your a Great Content Creator.

I need to upgrade to any other brand than Fuji, I would like to have my photos in focus not overshoot with 100 photos, hoping to get 10 where the eye is in focus, not on a picket fence in the background. X-H2s is manual lens camera...
@kurtlwrr
@kurtlwrr 18 дней назад
I shoot with the X-H2s nearly every day for marketing and social content for a Fortune 500 hospitality company and have next to zero issue with its focusing. Just for background, I shoot content for everything from world boxing title fights, UFC, WNBA, restaurants, entertainment shows and concerts, lifestyle and influencers, etc and I've shot events including weddings on the side as well and have experienced very little issue throughout.

I have this camera and I've had it for about six weeks and everything in the video that Lee says is true. It is a phenomenal camera. I should've variety of different WORK predominantly landscapes but I do some other stuff as well. And the auto focus on people is really good and snappy. It's very close to a full frame camera now I know there has been a lot of controversy around Fujifilm. Focus on the X series cameras but I did not find that issue with this camera I found that it hit the eye every single time it there is sometimes a little small moving of the auto focus but I was able to fix this through changing a few of the settings. And the files are just amazing. The actual Text on the outside of the camera is phenomenal as well. It actually aids the grip. I do use a wrist strap on all of my cameras as I find that it convenient way to get low or higher but the actual feel of the camera is amazing. And Lee is right about the cropping ability think of it as having extra lenses you could shoot a 200 mm shot and cropping 100% and still retain a 50 megapixel file and get a 400 mm shot so you could shoot something at 400 mm and it's still a 50 megapixel file and Pin sharp. It's an absolute game changer. People will complain about the price of the lenses or the lack of lenses. This is not true if you actually look at the whole range of lenses that they have they cover every focal length with often two or three options. They don't have huge range of full frame lenses that some of the other brands have but they have at least two options sometimes three in every focal length there is enough choice. I think down the track it would be fantastic if some other lens manufacturers light Tamron and someone were able to enter the market. I know you can use full frame lenses but I'm not a fan of that but overall I would get this camera 9 outa 10 ...
