Do you think a 3m in brass is suitable for a high school trumpet player? I'm relatively good at the instrument, highest note I can consistently get right now is around the d/e over high c, and I think this year will be the first year I play in my schools wind ensemble. I also play what I guess you could call "lead trumpet" for my schools jazz club, although not much range is used. I would love to get one of these mouthpieces, and the 3m brass seems to be the best suited for me as of now. I typically play on a bach 3c, and a shew lead, but the shew seems a little small for my liking.
This advice is so spot-on. My coach tells me to be like a balloon that’s deflating. 😂 And less air means higher notes, which blew my mind. But he plays a double C and says “piece of cake” after. So I trust you guys. LOL -I’d love to see a video on tongue arch technique.
Meeting Adam at the Gen Jazz conference in New Orleans in 2020 changed my musical career forever. Glad I got to meet someone as inspiring as Adam, it was quite an experience that I will never forget. Thank You Adam, Love you like an Uncle!
Universal is more open, spread, darker. Classic is more direct a little brighter great intonation, the articulation is a little crisper. Both very nice but for orchestral playing you have to go with the Classic.
