My goodness i love a good small harmless office prank. Keeps spirits alive in the night shift where it can get a bit dull. Imma try one of these when I get my job 😂😂
Gosh. Was researching datacenter HVAC when this video popped out. Never expected to see the rails from my former workplace to show up here. REPON 2U rails mainly supplied for Supermicro. Worked on it. Good stuff
I know that this video is 5 years old, however, just watching this video makes me want to get back into IT after more than a decade. This is a great video.
how dare you degrade mcdonalds workers. that is a very insulting statement, raf. besides, guys who work in a DC dont even get a decent salary so it's not like you're well above fast food workers.
Ok bro you are knowledgeable and I’m sure you do a fine job ,but I was told to be a DC facility technician…” you need 10 years IT, 10 years of power-generation, and 10 years of Industrial Electrical maintenance and repair to get the job (at Google) “.is this accurate??? Because again…I’m not that sharp on math but ehhh…. 10+10+10+college/technical school(4years+/~) 34 years (after high school) you appear to be in your late 20’s early 30’s. What am I missing?!?

My dream is to become system administrator or network engineer and I want to learn about how data centers work and to learn all about servers and networks. So, maybe someday I'll be able to get a job in data center 😊
I'm about to start a job as a data cabling engineer in a data centre. Any more of videos that could be a day in the life would be welcome so I can best prepare please
10 MWh for 800 racks.... Someone fucked up:) 40-45% will go to cooling and not counting in all the other little stuff (lights, office space, break rooms, etc.) that's ~5.5MWh for 800 racks. This comes out to 6.8 kWh per rack. Cut that in half because you probably want to do A/B power and provide some redundancy, and you are down to 3.4 kWh per rack with average power density of 16 kWh these days.... Yeah, this won't scale.
All cool except I personally would not use made cables but if remember well are few tricks use pre made molded and extra length goes around that cable mgmt panel...
Ab yaar datacenter kahan se bana saktey ...uske liye utna rokda bhi toh chahiye. Bikwawoge humko! 😅 But its nice to see how things works there... have been alway amazed by all those racks or what they acrually contains in pics. 😃
