The swift sport manifold is a complicated plastic thing that hangs down the side of the engine. Can't remember the specifics but I don't think it was going to fit with the bolt ons on the side of the block.
I don't think it's 'required' but I had the rear shortened and the front lengthened so I could have the engine where I wanted it, further back in the bay
@@OutAboutOffroad yea fair enough I ended up in the opposite direction front needs to be shortened and rear lengthened, fairly disappointing considering the whole idea was to avoid that as I could of gone with marks4wd gear instead. What was the cost on the tailshafts ball parked if you remember?
@@OutAboutOffroad yea not sure they do, im going 4l80e to LS thanks for your help, finally got the engine in with converter spacing so not to long to go now!
just the engine or the whole thing? either way... depends what you want to do. if you get a donor engine in good nick which needs nothing, you could maybe do it for $30k keeping your gearbox. everything else you want to option-in from there adds more... I'm lookin at something like $70k on the rap sheet already for what I've done
how can I purchase your transplant engine manual from td42 or td45 to 6bt Cummins engine if you have. thanks and God bless from phillipines Joel pioquid
If one puts dimples on them there pistons the engine would last longer, have more power, use less fuel. Kind of like dimples on a golf ball it will make the fuel spray swirl & not stick to the cylinder so much so less wear. And the fuel spray stay suspended in swirl more power & less fuel used.
@@OutAboutOffroad It's Speed of Air (SoA) pistons but I think one can put their own dimples in. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jO0yfN-3FP8.html
Such a trash comment lmao 😘😉 these are good engines but not for every purpose... Couldn't compete with a good modern all-alloy petrol turbo setup for example but in a 4x4 that has its downsides too
