This is the best episode thus far, you have really stepped up with the editing and voice over. I love the references to binky and skid factory! I'm loving the tools you make specifically to pull the injectors and the detail you go into with the injectors and crack testing, well done mate!
sir you can't imagine how much I enjoyed your videos. I started watching and learned a lot about cummins engines I had 0 clues when I started watching your videos :). i really appreciate your in depth and camera angles and the voice over I swear it is amazing how much effort you have put in them. you have a new subscriber my man.
I'm not being funny but you just breezed through several, thousand buck jobs, like they were nothing. I'm gonna have to go back through and watch your vids I think as I've got some work to do on me patrol including injectors etc and I aint paying a thousand backs for every job!! Thanks!!!!
Heh, the wallet is aching bad just from the parts cost. To be honest if the engine was in better condition I'd have been happy to leave it stock but yeah... with the original Holset being ruined in transport, and not having confidence in the Cholset, and pretty much everything else on the engine needing replacement, it made sense to suck up the cost and just build it up now
Just found your channel. How many Cummins vids can I watch? A lot…Good job very clean work. I thought when dropped that valve we were gonna se a head stud video.
Great series mate. Where did you get your 12v from? On a side note of caution for the future, any thing done to the fuel system on first start up have some standing by to block off the intake in case of a runaway. I’m sure you did and I probably missed it.
The mighty garbage truck engine! I give it 2 years and you'll tire of the noise, the 2500 rpm limit, the excessive fuel consumption and the endless cycle of coil springs sagging under constant 420kg of cast iron dinosaur motor.
So far I've done a few hundred ks and with the occasional silly full throttle pass I'm still only seeing about 11L/100km. 4k gov springs do their job. Noise is there but not awful, we'll see how it is after dynamat. Springs who knows but apparently everyone guessed the weight wrong as it's not massively heavier than the TB45e I pulled out
