You don't like what the Spanish did? Fine. The conquistadors weren't great guys. But if you hate them so much that you've divorced yourself from that part of Mexican heritage, maybe you should fully commit to the Mesoamerican side and do what they did before the Spanish showed up: sacrifice innocent people to the sun god en masse until your neighbors get sick enough of your shit to team up with the funny-looking strangers with boomsticks to put an end to it. Oh wait, that would be just as bad as what the Spanish did, if not worse. It WAS just as bad.
I don't get why the 90s is considered Heaven in people's eyes, the decade was utter trash with outdated slangs, garbage tv shows, and a shitty society.
Been a hot second since I saw this video but I wanted to thank you for showing me this show exists like 10 years ago since it has changed my life for the beter objectively
I know you specifically said it was never home-released, but my at-the-time room mate and I bought the spanish language version on one of those giant laser disks way back when, at a Suncoast movie store in a mall. He moved back home after he finished school, and the laser player was his, so the disk went with him. The story was-- no two ways about it: the story was bad. Just really, really awful, but the animation was mesmerizing except for that bizarre sequence with like nine minutes of cartoon clips in some kind of crazy dream sequence.
OMG I actually vaguely remember watching CN Wedgies! Also, that little animation with that hammer chasing those wedges game me much shock and nostalgia. I was born in 2007 and my earliest memories of my life were actually watching Cartoon Network Wedgies
We have got to move on from the past, don’t forget it, don’t look at it through our lenses. We have to share our cultures and stuff to move on together. I got a big mostly white family, and we all call our big uncle Gordo. We always have, think he got the nickname from the army.
It’s wild how people bring politics into everything, it’s a kids show. People need to stop using the past as an excuse to be ignorant, and stop looking at the past with our lenses of morality and judgement. We need to be able to share each others culture that’s how we grow and come together. My big family is fairly white and my big uncle is, but he’s big and we call him Gordo. Because he’s big.
Help! Who are all these people here that don't know that one of Pan's main jokes is mispronouncing things? 😭 Or have I been away too long and I'm ootl?
The Polar Express is one of my favorite films to watch ever. It has its flaws for sure, but it's still fun to watch. I especially love the scenes that the movie portrays the train itself. It charges through snowy mountains and over a frozen lake like it's nothing and just keeps on rolling. Note: Also, if a sequel does happen, I wanna see said sequel explore the origins of the Polar Express. Like who built the train and the route?

This is lame, but I always come back to this video whenever I feel completely drained creatively. When I see people younger than me do work I still dream about making. When I see my heroes push the envelope further and further. When I see one too many people my age with a massive, established audience. I remember this video. And remember how far I’ve come from rock bottom.
