Hello, I loved your video and I wanted to ask you a question about bowling two-handed bowling. My question is I want to change the way I bowl because Im a two-handed bowler but I pushed the ball straight and I want to change that and I haven't done much bowling in four years. Can you give me tips for a beginner on how to bowl two-handed as a professional or just like you?
crazy progress I myself did bowling for northmont (D1 GWOC same conference as centerville, Wayne, Fairmont, Beavercreek) sadly couldnt get to the levels you were at with high school cause our conference was loaded asf but still amazing progress
How do u tell it’s a plastic ball , and what type ball would you recommend for me ???, I’m 13 53/5 and I could bowl 12 pounds to 13 they say the rino and twist bowling ball is good but idk I just got back into 2handed bowling
You can tell if it’s a plastic ball by looking up the name printed, they always feel really smooth and glossy. For you I would definitely throw a weak ball if you’re going to throw 2-handed. A twist is actually a really good option, I wouldn’t go any stronger than a rhino. I think you could probably get away with a plastic ball for strikes and spares, look up the Radical Spy. It’s a plastic ball with a core in it so it can hook more than a regular one. Hope this helps buddy!
At this point I’ve been bowling for almost 5 years. I try to get out 2-3 times a week to practice, I would guess that equates to 4-6 hours and 8-14 games? Consistency is key for sure.
Gonna use these tips when I go to the lanes next. Currently do about 10-11mph (just started 2H) working on better targeting and getting that ball speed up!
That’s awesome to hear! I apologize for the late response, hopefully you’ve had the chance to try it out at this point. If so let me know how things are going!
honestly I really don't know how I feel about two handed bowling I kinda feel like it's a cop out and not real bowling😂😂 i think its for people who just werent that good bowling normally
Nahh fr I honestly don’t support two handed bowling because you barely see 1 handed bowling these days so I support the 1 handed bowlers still out there in the world
I love Sterners game I’m so glad he won, I wish it had played out better for him on the show. I am also so happy Marshall Kent won the whole thing. Jones is also very talented.
Tbh you eased my mind a bit, I barely started bowling like a couple months ago and all I use are house balls, and I’ve been averaging around 150-170, highest I got was 218, but noticing even when I hit the spots I want, not all the pins falling down, not hooking etc. now it gives me comfort that it might just be the house balls and I might need to buy my own and give it a try
It’s extremely hard to get a consistent play out of a house ball. 218 with one is impressive! You would definitely see improvement by getting equipment for yourself, if you think it’s worth!!
i’m one of those players that has such a high rev rate but my speed of the ball and how fast it hooks is too much just because my speed is tooo slow but this helped out so thank you
I will say given that this is my home house either way for me their house shot is very easy for me to play so in my opinion a good ball in general destroys the shot here
Do you have any tips to have your arm straight on the downswing with long arms? I’ve been trying to get my arm straighter on the downswing to get more power. I have 3 videos of me bowling on my channel the messenger is my newest one and that’s how my form is right now. I have changed my form a bit from that video, I cup my hand a lot more now.
I’m 3 months into my journey. Just learned how to slide better into my shot. It takes years to perfect this sport in multiple ways. I’m glad you are still grinding bro keep it up 😤
Could you do a guide on different kinds of positions to put your fingers on the surface of the ball? How close are fingernails together of one hand to the next, dis/advantage of having closer/further, and whether to use grips that stay in the ball holes, or grips you actually put on your fingers, etc
the progression was all on you , the nearer you got the more balanced you stayed at the end everything clicked ! it took time for you to stay down and through the shot with balance , you did it !
