This list should be for players that never won a cup before retirement. McDavid is only 27, lots of hockey left. Any current player playing, should not be on the list. If that nullifies later expansions teams so be it.
Good choices, I certainly agree with most of these. Some nice pulls, too. One name that did come to my mind was Brian Bradley, who was Tampa’s first star in the 90s and played well for them in their early years, Still ranks in the top six in team history in both GPG and APG rates. He also spent six seasons with the club compared to Bishop’s (essentially) 3 1/2. As for the question of who I’m rooting for, that’s easy: as a Sharks fan I’d be thrilled to see Joe Pavelski finally lift the Cup.
My 2 Favorite Teams are, as I think that you know by now, The Chicago Blackhawks & The New York Rangers. For Chicago, the trade that would likely have broken my heart, is the one that prevented Both Of The Esposito Brothers from being Chicago Blackhawks at The Same Time. The one that broke my heart/still is deemed The Poorest Rangers Trade was losing Ric Middleton to get a much older & beyond his time (talking about Massacre, with no disrespect to Crispus Atticus).
Since the Ducks only released 4 new unis (technically, didn’t count the home/road jerseys since those were new ones back in Reebok era)during the adidas era, my list goes as the following: 1. 25th anniversary (2018-19) 2. 30th anniversary (2023-24) 3. RR 2.0 4. RR 1.0 None of them are considered “bad” just the others are that much more good 😁
Great Video. I agree with your 2 Chicago Blackhawks choices - the 2 Goals in 17 Seconds to avoid a trip back to/game 7 in Chicago & Patrick Kane Goal in Philadelphia, since he was the only one who knew that it was A Goal. For My Rangers, I'd say you got many of them, but, left out Ed Giacomin crying in A Detroit Red Wing Uniform, as The Madison Square Garden crowd chanted Eddie!!! & had Cheered for him & against The Rangers. Let me know what you think
@@TwistedWristerHockey Yeah. I know that King Henrik Lundquist is The Best, but, I don't think that we'll ever see a more beloved Goalie in a moment like that. One of the very best Goalie Tandems there ever was, with Gilles Villemeur.
Great Video. I really enjoyed it. As A Chicago (as well as being A Rangers) Fan, I didn't know about The National Anthem thing. I'd have guessed that it's The Goal Song, but, as you say, since The Anthem goes all the way back to Chicago Stadium days, it's more appropriate. I did get The Rangers raising the sticks at Center Ice right.
I know that I can absolutely be qualified as a “bandwagoner,” but I have become a gigantic Florida Panthers fan over the last two years. Especially during this current playoffs! My boss treated the engineering team to game two of the first round, Panthers vs Lightning, in Sunrise and the energy of that arena… oh my, the energy! I’ve been to many soccer games and I have never felt that much passion and drive from a fan base before. I have since been diving into hockey more and more and learning the rules and all that. It’s been such a fun ride. I always dismissed hockey as “soccer on ice,” and appreciated the sport for how tough it was, but I never understood the appeal. But yeah, that 120 dB cheer when the Panthers scored the OT winner just won my heart for the team and sport!
Then You think of marginal players who have their names on the cup, that's the unfair part of this. You have to be in the right place at the right time.
Nothing against Carolinians, but I have this fantasy of them relocating to Halifax and bringing back the old name and logos. Maybe Houston would be more realistic though. Surely an oil town would see the appeal of a team themed on whale oil.
As a preds fan, I’m a bit bitter that it cut out most of the audio of the crowd after a goal. Here it is: *horn* I like it, I love it, I want some more of it, I’ve tried, so hard, I can’t rise above it, I don’t know what it is about the predators scoring but I like it, I love it, I want some more of it. Crowd: “HEY, YOU SUCK!” “HEY, YOU SUCK!” “HEY, YOU SUCK! WE’RE GONNA BEAT THE HELL OUTTA YOU!” “YOU!” “YOU!” “YOU! YOU! YOU!” Go preds!
Love the video. These are my top 10 personal favourites: 10. San Jose 30th Anniversary 9. Anaheim Ducks Reverse Retro 2.0 8. Maple Leafs Reverse Retro 2.0 7. Coyotes Kachina 6. Oilers current home 5. Hurricanes Storm alternate 4. Capitals Reverse Retro 2.0 3. Colorado Reverse Retro 1.0 2. Minnesota Wild home. 1. Buffalo Sabres goathead alternate
Altogether a great top-10. I couldn't ask for more out of the Sabres, having reverted to their classic look but also reissuing the Goathead. Hopefully they can keep that going in the Fanatics era!
Adidas had pretty decent designs, but man, I hated their construction. The bell shape, the VERY transluscent whites, they were super hot to wear...I won't miss them too much. Those Yotes RRs were so dang good though.
My favorite is the revised black skate alternate jersey; I already loved how they brought back the skate for the 50th anniversary, but then they somehow made it better. I also thought the two Reverse Retros were strong designs. Thanks for watching!
I agree. The best Oilers jersey is probably their white classic look. All of their alternates were ugly and the road worker orange jersey was too orange.
Anaheim: 30th anniversary alternate jersey Arizona: kachina road jersey Boston: centennial home jersey Buffalo: 2022 heritage classic Calgary: reverse retro 1.0 Carolina: 2017-2019 road jersey Chicago: home jersey Colorado: reverse retro 1.0 Columbus: alternate Dallas: road jersey Detroit: home jersey Edmonton: road jersey Florida: reverse retro 1.0 Los Angeles: alternate jersey Minnesota: home jersey Montreal: reverse retro 1.0 Nashville: road jersey New Jersey: 2024 stadium series New York Islanders: reverse retro 1.0 New York Rangers: reverse retro 1.0 Ottawa: 2021+ home jersey Philadelphia: alternate Pittsburgh: reverse retro 2.0 Saint-Louis: alternate San Jose: 30th anniversary Seattle: home jersey Tampa Bay: new alternate jersey Toronto: alternate jersey Vancouver: skate jersey Vegas: road jersey Washington: Reverse Retro 2.0 Winnipeg: 2019 heritage classic
I loved seeing Blasty return to Calgary, and the Jets produced a great navy complement to the white one I talked about. I also loved when the Sharks brought back the original Shark for the 25th & 30th anniversaries (if the collar design was different for the 30th, it probably would have tied with the CaliFin 😃).
Leave it to me to forget a team 🤦♂ My favorite is the revised black skate alternate jersey; I already loved how they brought back the skate for the 50th anniversary, but then they somehow made it better. I also thought the two Reverse Retros were strong designs. Thanks for watching!
My favorite jersey from the Adidas era is the 2019 turn 3rd Blackhawks Winter Classic. It was perfect as a Hertiage jersey in the Blackhawks collection. As it was a jersey fans were asking for from the Blackhawks. Plus I loved the graphics I was able to make and my video in Black and White to give vintage look.
I didn't like it at first, but it grew on me. I've definitely gained more appreciation for jerseys (or "sweaters" as they were back then) that were worn as far back as 100 years ago 😎
I'm sorry I skipped the Canucks! I LOVED the revised black skate alternate jersey, and the two Reverse Retros were strong, too! What were some of your favorite jerseys from the Adidas era (2017-24)? At the time, they Panthers were using individual player-chosen songs (i.e. if Barkov scores, then his song plays), so that's why I left them off these rankings.
@@ihuffpaint4587 I could see them cracking the top half, maybe as high as about 12th. If the fans get into the goal song, then I think it can give the building a lot of energy, but the horn by itself sounds great - not too buzzy and has some punch to it.
100% no bias here, but the devils and the knights were ranked way too low. maybe devils wouldve been in 16-10 but knights definitely have an underrated goal horn, top 10 at least. again, no bias here whatsoever
the liberals running hockey these days ruinned hockey.its more like the ice follies.if a guy fights a few times they want him suspended .any hard clean hits penalty.just a boring game today.i watched a game a couple of months ago the flyers were home getting their asses kicked like 6-1 the other team scored late in the 3rd period and the guys stood a few feet out of the crease celebrating for like 30 seconds .the flyer players just skated to their bench im like wtf in the old days most teams in that situation would of stuck their stick up the players ass.
Why isn’t an elk thrown into the equation. Utah is know for its Rocky Mountain elk, or cougars. Mountain lions. There coulda been a lot better if choices… seems like they got all these names from nhl create a team
Regardless of who everyone else around me is a fan of, I chose the Blackhawks. And now I'm a diehard fan. I went my own way and love it! Highs and lows, no matter what!😎
it's almost the ONLY good goal song. At this point, im actually against any goal songs. im against the arenas pumping the place full of fake noise to pretend like its hopping. im for a goal song if its good and isnt imitatting a crowd (like the oilers one does, that might be the worst. rangers is another piece of crap with crowd imitation )
