We are Erin, Todd, and William and we are just starting out on our sailing journey into the Caribbean aboard our Leopard 45 catamaran named Symphony. We'll try to post a video each week of our experience as we become better sailors and visit different countries and cultures along the way.
Nice run down of what you did. Thanks for taking the time to film all of that. I know its a lot of work to do but we are out here watching and enjoying it.
Great video guys! And we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for introducing us to these amazing people! Faustin and Omar are amazing! Next year in Dominica!
Thank you for the videos, they are some of our favorites. We would be interested in a lessons learned / postmortem video. If you were starting out today with your knowledge and experience what would you do differently.
Love your journey. We plan on buying a Leopard 45 in 2-4 years and go through the exact same process, so I am really enjoying following your journey from the beginning and learning from your videos. Love the insights as well. Anything the more I can learn the better.
Very nice looking place to visit. I've been quiet on the comments for a while but still looking forward to your videos each week. Carlos and Mandy in Bama.
@@SailingSymphony I was surprised Washington got by UT. They looked good all year. I was more surprised that Bama made it to ATL and beat Georgia. College football is gonna look way different next year. With Saban gone, I might get back into atv'ing and start a mudvlog channel on youtube. Lol
And a barbecue place that sells brisket! Actually the barbecue is pretty good, I have been on a steady diet of barbecue chicken and ribs the last couple of days and I gotta stop.
You and Jeff share a boat platform that I think is perfect for my wife and I. Headed to the Grenadines to finish my sailing classes in a few weeks and hope to live this one day! Be safe.
Rain forests are my second favorite environments (being underwater being the first). Amazing that marine places don't properly fill marine engines/drives. Donate for a Dream
What does guardianage cost? Monthly? Percentage of work done? Interested for a budget. Seems well worth it. ALSO- I watch Wind Therapy. Jeff is awesome and I love watching them.
It was $50US each time Jaco checked the boat, ended up being around $700 for 4 and a half months. Well worth it, I was able to ping him when I needed stuff done and it got done. And yes Jeff is a riot, we just left them in Saint Lucia and sadly won’t be getting together again till this fall in Annapolis. But then I think we’ll be sailing with them down to the Bahamas for the next season.
Wow that is a lot going wrong at once, you sure did have a good attitude about it, and just rolled with it. I had same problem with inverter and now have a spare 3000 on board lol.
I saw one for sale in Martinique after we got it fixed and I was tempted to buy it, just in case! Curious if there is a way to rig up 2 3000k inverters, that way at least you’d have some redundancy.
Oh man, I have NO special skills for this, all learned along the way. I knew some basics of how things worked. You'd be surprised at how fast you pick up plumbing, electrical, and engine knowledge from others. I don't kn ow about the patience stuff, there was a lot of cussing off-camera!
Aw mate it ain’t all roses is it. Bugger. But you guys have the right attitude and I’m sure that all will be ship shape on board Symphony soon… if it isn’t already. 👍🏼 Thanks so much for sharing the journey with us. Please don’t be afraid to let the camera linger on those trouble area close ups. I feel like I’m taking an armchair captain course watching and imagining I’m doing it too. I figure if one hour of actual experience equals about 100 hours of armchair observing, then I’ve only got about another fifty years of training before I’m all set to go. 😁 Sincere thanks for your generosity sharing your adventures with us. Fair winds.
'ain't all roses' is a good way to put it! But it seems to work out in the end most days. I'll keep trying to be informative, I've got a few ideas for videos explaining the things that we didn't know when we set sail.
One more thing...we are taking the bikes over to Sugar Beach today and will raise a glass to your both at the beach bar where Erin and I were first introduced to the ankle biters!
Well, Todd and Erin, that all sucks, but you are in good company. We began our season spending two extra months in Florida in fix mode with one thing after another, with the highlight being an engine rebuild! Yup, big money spending start to our boating season. That said, we have finally made it to Great Harbour, via Bimini. We talked about you guys as we left Miami and arrived at Browns Marina. Lots of water under the keel since we first share that experience! I hope that you are fixed and underway and thanks for sharing the beginning of your new season. Hi to the boys from us! Cheers, J.
Your videos have been incredible. I can’t wait to see more. If you’ve failed at anything, it’s been marketing and exposure, but definitely not video creation, because your content is top of the pack.
Thank you! I’m finally getting my routine pulled together and we’ll have a new video up tomorrow. We’re back at it and have made it up to Martinique already!
We live in Highlands, NC and I've ridden a good bit around Blueridge. Nice area, but a bit warmer. We hope to sail soon. Enjoying your videos. Thanks for making them.
I don't know of any private charters there in Nevis, I didn't see much of that activity there. Might want to check on St. Kitts, that seemed like a bigger place but I also didn't really see any charter activity there either.
Hi guys! We enjoyed watching your anchor-out at Anse la Roche, and the dinner on the beach where we met you! We were the group from the school boat, at the next table over.
@@SailingSymphony, unfortunately not so much right now, we are having actual winter in MD and NC. But hopefully we will be out there soon! And we are glad to see that you two are splashed and back in business.
