Hey mate, I got to tell ya that both receivers you got are bluetooth ones, I bought a new sn30 2.4g controller and the receiver is way different, it don't have the red dot and micro USB plug, it only have the dot for the blue light just that, nevertheless I did a lot of test with the same set up that you did with the snes online controller and the 2.4g and both has pretty much the same latency, your idea using the snes switch online controller with the receiver is genius.
Oh good, I ordered the right thing, hehe. I was going to get myself a SN30 for use with my og SNES consoles, but... the NA "purple colors" one is now worth around $190 and higher on eBay and no longer being made, the SFC "colorful buttons" one is now worth around $60 on eBay and no longer being made (but that's still a better price than the first one I mentioned), and... I already had a NA Nintendo Switch SNES controller just sitting around and collecting dust, so I ordered one of these 8bitdo bluetooth receivers. It will be so nice to no longer need to be using the og controllers with cables (especially now with my SNES set up 8+ feet across the room from my couch). I'm also glad that it's THAT easy of a setup with the receiver!
Replacing the fan was going to be my next challenge, I even have the parts, I've just been crazy busy the past few years that I haven't got round to it. I've been told it's fairly straightforward, in the sense of you are comfortable with taking the Q apart, it's just about getting to the right module and swapping.
Thanks for the video. Looking to buy this thing, was pretty hard to find info on whether this thing work with the PS or not. Very helpful, great guide 👍
Hi it’s been a while since you made this video. But I couldn’t find in any other place so I’m going to ask here. Do you know if this monitor works for MacBook m2? Is the touch screen going to work too? And what about an iPhone 11 for example ? Thanks
@@thiagods I'm using with an M1 MB Pro, it's Display Alt, so will definitely work. But Touch screen is still not native to Mac OS, so you will need a 3p plug in for touch screen to work (like Touch Base). I think only the latest iPhone 15 pros support DP Alt mode, all others you are limited to a lightning to HDMI adapter to input via HDMI only.
Also yes, way too long since I made another follow up video. I've since bought more advance portable screens and could do a new video for sure. Lack of time due to 9-9 job 🥸
Good evening, I would like to ask for your help. At minute 3:03 you used an adapter, which adapter did you need to use on the PS4 to send power to the portable monitor?
I'm just an enthusiast and not a pro like some of the other channels. But my 2 cents, is that the video output options makes it far superior to NSO. Especially the scalers on the Super NT, which do a great job in making some games look more polished Vs the native pixel interpretation on the Switch
Hmmm, While I am able to connect my Bluetooth SN30 8bitdo controllers to the SuperNT, no amount of resetting and retrying gets my official switch online super nintendo controller to connect to the SuperNT using the bluetooth 8bit do adapter. BTW, the one the sn30 2.4 Ghz comes with is a different adapter that does not have.a button on it. It looks completely different than the bluetooth model. When I use that one in my superNT, it will only connect to the player 2 port if I already have my 8bitdo bluetooth controller connected to player 1 port on the super NT. When I plug in the 2.4 Ghz adapter in the player 1 port, the SuperNT menu just scrolls.
I share my review on amazon (there are many similar reviews). Piece of trash. The monitor is deficient in features and has a higher price than similar items. I bought it thinking that because it was an Asus brand it was of better quality and had a better warranty. It stopped working after 6 months and asus did not respond for the guarantee. They charge me for the review but globally this service from asus has a reputation as a street robber. Very disappointed in asus. A complete piece of garbage and with a high cost as well.
How does this monitor exactly charge? would it charge while using a single USB C cable to the usb C port of my laptop with a video output? I read many times it also discharges while hooked on a laptop, and I was hoping that someone would dive deeper to explain how the battery exactly works
With every laptop or computer I've used this with, the single cable charges it fine, even with a Chromebook. Every time you connect a laptop it asks you if you want to charge whilst using with USB C video, maybe others have turned this off without knowing or they are misunderstanding that via HDMI only it doesn't get power.
