Very nicely balanced tidy room with listening 🎧 positioning optimum centrality 👍👍 I think to have a break every once in a while is good I've made videos over a decade now so running out of ideas. I could do without a television too I barely watch it I think I'd more miss even just radio on a desert island.
Awesome Jeff. Great room. Really well organized. I need a good shelf for my CDs. They are mostly in 📦 like to bring them out. You have inspired me to do a media room tour this weekend! 🎉 Thanks! 🙏
Thanks for the kind words, Dan. I love room tour videos. Glad to hear you have inspiratation to share your room. Look forward to it! I still have your 'online buying is dead' video in my watch list. Things have been busy, but I'm still very intrigued. Have a great weekend. Cheers!
Nice to see you Jeff. (Sort of lol) Very nice room. I appreciate the addition of some Batman/comic book stuff. I get the whole idea of taking a break. Hope you’re doing well.
Fantastic tour Jeff. Really love some of the character in the room, speaks to you as a music fan. And did you ever nail the description of the "mimiscellaneous corner"
Thanks, Tim. It's great hearing from you. Ya, thankfully I cut way back on that 'misc' corner. I had boxes about 4' high (hate tossing out good 'stuff'!) in the corner by the fishing rods. Adds a bit of neatness to the room. Hope you're enjoying a great summer so far. Cheers!
Fantastic tour. I could spend a lot of quality time in that room. I didn't hear any mention of compilation albums? Did I miss that, or maybe you just don't collect compilation albums? Or else you file them with other stuff. Reason I ask is your filing system is pretty much the same as mine - separate sections for soundtracks, classical, etc - but I have what is becoming a fairly extensive collection of compilation albums. I've really collected a lot of those in the past year or so. Thanks for the tour. (side note - that floor is absolutely beautiful!)
Hi, Randy. I'll essentially isolate a genre or label if it gets big enough to do so. I could prep a prog section, but haven't as it might be too big. I'm not big on multi-artist comps. To me, individual band/artist comps are like a live release and are housed with the artist. Thanks for stopping by. Cheers!
Hey Jeff great to see you again, or I should say great to hear you, wow almost doubled your space is awesome! A very nicely executed setup for your music room / office space, thanks so much for inviting us into your home for the tour! Take care! ~ Jeff
Beautiful room, Jeff! Great Dylan and Elvis posters! I’ve had one of those Pioneer receivers before too. They sound nice. I really dig your Tone Poet, Impulse and ECM collection. All very discerning jazz labels. That chair looks mighty comfy! You have a very nice music room. Thank you for sharing and welcome back! Steve
We all need a break once in a while. The pace of making videos on a regular basis can be exhausting and create burnout. Awesome room tour. Thanks for sharing Jeff.
Great to see your music room Jeff, thank you.. looking great!..i love that theres' a bit of organised chaos going on with your record sleeve and accessory corner..a man after my own heart!. Nice you got that original Elvis poster from the theatre, my wife and i always used to grab posters from our local drama group once productions had finished. Hope you're keeping well 😉 🙏
Thanks, Rob. Yes, the theatrical posters are cool. I also have one from the Stones' Shine A Light doc that Scorsese did in 2008. Even with the bigger room, wall space is scarce. Take care!
You forgot to mention the two most important items in that room Jeff. The 2 fishing rods in the corner at 5:20, lol.... Yeah I figured you'd have a fair sized Elvis collection. You and my Sister would have a field day talking abut Elvis. She still plays a double shot of Elvis tunes on her radio program around noon every show... She knows more about Elvis than any other Human Being that I know of. I remember back in 56 when we were out throwing a football around she told me "I'd do cartwheels for Elvis" and proceeded to do cartwheels to show off.... Any time someone disappears from the VC and they come back they never say the why of it all. They don't say I got sick and tired of all the bullshit. They don't say I've become bored with it all. They don't say I've more important things to do instead of wasting time on the internet. They don't say there's too many troller asshole's on the internet. They don't say the real reasons because they don't want to insult people in the community. They try not to offend, they don't want to burn any bridges... That's the thing that always interests me the most is the why of it all. I like to look a little deeper than most. Curiosity killed the cat they say I guess that's why they got 9 lives. LOL.... Later Jeff....
@@BobbyGass5 hey Bobby…with God as my witness, shouting you out as the camera caught the rods (the ice fishing rods are lower, out of sight in the corner) crossed my mind. This January will be the 10 year anniversary from posting my first VC video. Combine my (still) lack of comfort w/ videos and streams with simply preferring to listening to music over time on YT, 6 video-free months sneaks up on you. Hope all is well. Cheers
Good evening Jeff. I did the same thing with the books up top until I moved them onto some freed up shelf space. I kind of liked them better on top because you could see the spines better. You really did a nice and coordinated job with the layout. I know how much you dig Elvis and the Stones. Your framed items are sharp. Your Elvis vinyl collection is killer. You may have my Zeppelin collection beat in numbers. {smile} Wow. Elvis has a slew of releases. It makes sense when you think of it. A lot of the record shops have substantial Elvis bins. Outstanding room tour Jeff. Really nice. Thanks for sharing it all~ Rob/Boston
@@Paneeks1960 thanks Rob. It’s always great to hear from you. Ben cutting on the Elvis collecting. It gets to a point, ya know seeing it’s mostly online purchasing. Shipping to Canada remains outrageous. Hope you’re well and enjoying your summer.
Thanks for the tour Jeff! What a great space. You’re surrounded by your music. I really enjoyed seeing your layout and all of your likes displayed around the room. I’d love to peek through your ECM collection!
@@TheVinylverse hi Bill. I appreciate the kind words and support, as always. A flip through ECM video would be a good idea. I’d feel like I’d be working on a thesis if I was to intimately discuss each release lol! Happy 4th!
You have a great setup. You have an admirable Elvis Collection. I thought that I had quite a few until I saw yours. Love the Dylan posters. Thanks for the tour.
@@RandyforRoyals thanks Randy. I do enjoy the framed Dylan posters. I neglected to zoom in, but I had the tickets framed with each as well. Have a great weekend!
Hello Jeff👋🏻so good to hear from you!!! Enjoyed the room tour 👏🏻been thinking about you and how you were doing… I liked the tour of the room…I myself am kinda in and out here but I do try to check in with ole friends….cheers to you and your family…namaste 🙏🏻✨😎
Hi Jeff, Its a well organised space with a diverse range of music. I am the same but i mainly focus on CDs rather than vinyl records. I also have 5 plastic tubs full of Elvis Records.
Looks great Jeff 👌. Even with more room it's stacked up to the ceiling 😊. You and Anthony @gmblr812 are neck and neck with the love for Elvis. Thanks for sharing your space.
If you've never listened to Social distortions Mommy's little monster please do so. I consider it THEE Punk album of the 80s I think they just released the 40th anniversary edition....
Wow, that's a pricey Gabriel record! Very cool Elvis reissue. Hackney Diamonds seems to get better and better with each listen. Way to close with Tom Waits. Sorry I'm so late on this Jeff.
Thanks Harry. I was pleasantly surprised by your Elvis tag responses. Didn’t realize you were such a fan (assumed by what you’ve amassed). Cheers, Jeff
Somehow I missed this video. I bought a copy of Flush the Fashion, in what I am guessing is your current city of residence, when it came out. I wish I could recall the store name, but I went there several times, since it was about a 40 minute drive from where I lived. I'd just catch a ride with my sister, who loved to shop for clothes in the bigger urban centres.
Hi Jeff - I enjoyed your tag video. You showed my fav Supertramp record. Gil Scott-Heron record seem to be hard to find. I don't have Thriller! Woodstock is a fabulous choice.
Happy New Year Jeff! I hope you are feeling better. Fantastic response! I watched your video this past Saturday as I was taking the Christmas tree down. I think you've inspired me to dive in on Magma this year. So far I've only really just scratched the surface with them. I think I just need to jump in head first. Woah, those Elvis singles are great. I'd love to see more of your collection if you have more. That'd be a heck of a dinner party. The stories that crew could share. Crime Of The Century holds up so well. Your copy still looks to be in terrific shape after all of these years. I'll make it a point to check out the channels you mentioned. Enjoyed this, Jeff! Best wishes to you in 2024!
Thanks Bill for the kind words. I trust you had a great Christmas. I've noted and added your response to my vinyl tag watch list. It's difficult to keep up as there are so many, but looking forward to seeing yours. Hold I/O is a great start... Cheers!
Good video sir! Clones is awesome I am a fan! Always have been. Even a bad dig is an ok dig right :-) You’re sounding healthier so that’s good. Again great stuff.
