This guy was hired by single hose air conditioner industry. He says the intake hose heats up the room. What a bunch of manure. If your room is say 30C and the outside temp is 25C, the intake hose temp will be 25C and cooler than your room and not heating it up. My exhaust hose temp is typically 40C and my intake hose temp is 25C. Intake hose temp depends on your outside temperature. Even when it is 33C outside, my dual hose maintains a 20C interior temperature. Any added heat to the room from hoses is neglible and easily cooled by my air conditioner. I have had more single hose air conditioners than this guys IQ score. Did my single hose air conditioners cool me down? Yes, when I stood in front of it. Did it cool my room? Mostly never unless it was at night and the outside temperature was way below my room temperature. There is no situation where a single hose air conditioner is better or more efficient than a dual hose air conditioner. This guy has no credentials or credibility.

Let me tell you something..when it says 8000 BTU ...then it comes into the USA..it is turned into SACC..The Numbers are Lower, like 5100 btu/sacc...Keeping a Kean Eye on those...Lowe had a 10,000 BTU/SACC but it converted into 16,000 BTU without the SACC conversion. AireMax-115-Volt-White-Vented-Portable-Air-Conditioner at lowe and look at the photos. This one is rated for 16,000 BTU but Lowe was selling the lower end of the Numbers ( The SACC ),which it is at 10,000...look at the Reviews for that AC and look at the Box...it will say 16,000 BTU but not BTU/SACC. This is how I figured this out.....I bought a 8,000 BTU AC from Amazon and the Aire on the same day and got both boxes.....then one box says 16,000 BTU and the other says 8,000 BTU...but the energy label is showing 5100 btu/sacc.

I wonder why no Xiaomi products, because not sold in US? Xiaomi low- and mid-range products are very powerful, with suction ~3000pA, mopping, app controlled water amount, and pretty good job in doing corners. All that for less than 300 usd

After testing and using the 5500-2 Winnix for 3 years, plus the iQ Air, plus the Blue air 205, plus the Enviroklenz, l prefer the Winnix 5500-2 in my small bedroom as it is so quiet plus in hot nights it moves the air that promotes better sleep. I vacuum the pre-filter and wash the charcoal filter plus, replace the hepa filter as required. With allergies l have found this unit to work nicely in all seasons. My second choice is the Classic Blue Air 205. Going to give my iQ Air to a Charity as it, at my age is difficult to move from 1 floor to the next when needed plus the filters are expensive. Next fall or winter l will give my Enviroklenz to a charity, as it is made of steel and difficult to move on 3 flight of stairs. It needs to be placed in a dental office or school room. Your reports and reviews are the best on RU-vid. Thanks for sharing them with us out here.😊

Ok so I live in Costa Rica now and have a lot of sand and dead bugs to vacuum. Everyone seems to hate on Shark but my f80 has lasted 4 years with 2x or more weekly use and we haven’t replaced the filter or even washed it (I have no clue how it still works and I know that’s really bad. I just ordered some lol). But anyway, I gave that one to my parents. I like the features of the Shark IZ682H. But you said that if we are vacuuming sand to get the older version. However, with that one you have to press the nozzle to use, which the Dyson v8 does and I absolutely hate that. I’m torn right now. Do you think the Stratos solves this issue? I just don’t know ugh lol help mehhhh

I disagree with B tier for Dyson V12. It has small dust bin, I'll give you that. It's not a big deal tho. It's good not only for small apartments. In fact it's better than V15 for bigger apartments. You have to empty the big more ofter, sure. But your wrist will thank you for picking v12 over v15. V12 is significantly lighter and doesn't have this stupid trigger button. All things combined the longer you are cleaning the better v12 would be at a price of smaller bin.

I'm guessing from the form factor alone this is a desiccant dehumidifier? Would be nice if manufacturers and reviewers made this distinction (Midea doesn't give any technical details on their product page). Many of us have gotten burned on bad Chinese coils that can't handle refrigerant in traditional dehumidifier.

DIY or prebuilt kits for Corsi-Rosenthal filters, which use simple MERV 13 HVAC air filters are a much better way to go. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gaQTYrisieA.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hIuH-2naozI.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KxPk8yOH-z4.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NmgNQu4zDy0.html

These all use expensive, proprietary filters. The numerous DIY air filters using wall/floor fans or computer fans produce much better results in terms of better airflow and cost and ease of replacement of the air filters. There are lots of videos on RU-vid showing how to make these yourself, as well as links to people making the basic frames for you (you have to supply just the standard 1"-2" HVAC filters, and sometimes the fans).

The dehumidifier's moisture removal rate is 50 pints/day. Its bucket capacity (how much water it can collect before you need to empty its bucket) is 34 pints.

Update from a year or so, I robot added the ability to partition and divide the floor on the map using the app. For instance, you can divide and name different bedrooms and bathrooms. Or kitchen, dining room, hallway, powder room, and living area. Then using the app or by voice command (alexa, google assistant) you can request cleaning specific rooms or all.

I guess you used max mode for both the v12 and the omniglide : the lower airflow of the omniglide should be the reason why the cylone dust seperation is not working that well compared to the v12. But since your test is simulating the dust amount of a longer period is should not be such a huge problem.

Single duct more reliable? Run longer without winding down? Dual duct sucks some hot air from the exhaust duct because of the design next to the intake duct? Cars run better in winter than summer.

Thank you for this video, I just ordered my 1st Dyson BUT I got the Ball Animal 3 corded upright….HUGE mistake. I have terrible lower & cervical spine pain but didn’t realize the corded upright Dyson would be so tough to manage. After realizing it will be impossible for me to use it I started looking at their cordless vacs. The V12 detect looks to be a lot easier to handle thanks to your video.☺️

Let’s be honest here, these move and cools are a joke. They recirc indoor air through the evaporator coil, then the transferred heat is rejected through the condenser coil…and here is THE joke about these…they have to reject that heat to the outside if the space. Now just where do you figure all that rejected air is coming from? That’s right…inside the space being cooled. Now where does that 600+cfm come from? It is drawn into the conditioned space through all the leaks in the home, but mostly it is drawn into the space from the kitchen and bathroom exhaust ducts. It is a placebo…a waste of energy no matter how this guy vainly attempts to explain it all away. Buyer beware…run Forest, RUN!!

I already owned 2 portable A/Cs when I bought this unit. The benefit of this unit over my previous (both haier one 8000 BTU and one dual hose 14000 BTU) is it's duel inverter tech which allows it to operate quieter than the Haier models. When using those models in a bedroom at night each one would turn off/turn on quite frequently cause a sudden surge of noise and vibration, this would cause me to wake up in the night or worse wake me up when I'm just about to fall asleep. The LG on it's lowest fan speed creates a constant consistent noise level with the fan and the inverter spool up and down but does not shut down frequently. Furthermore, when it down shut down it has already spooled down so it doesn't create a surge or noise when it shuts off like other portable models. The app and ability to turn it on and off via my smartphone is another benefit. One thing though is that the 14,000 BTU haier dual hose model I replaced with this 14,000 BTU LG used to cool my room better (room would get colder). Probably because it was a dual hose, but I couldn't keep it as the compressor would always turn on and off creating a power surge when I'm gaming on my PC and cause everything to shut down. In the end I liked the LG so much I bought two of them and sold my Haier models.

Any opinion on the Midea 4,500 Sq. Ft. Energy Star Certified Dehumidifier With Pump Included 50 Pint - MAD50P1AWS. It has a smaller water holding capacity than the cube, but I don’t really care about water holding capacity as it will hooked to drain. Will it work well and efficiently for a 1200 square foot space?

Problem with the pellet carbon filter on the Winix from what I'm seeing is there are huge gaps in the filter. They only filled carbon about half way to the top of each of those honeycombs, leaving blank space in about half of the filter. Doesn't that defeat the purpose?
