Techland said "we can do better" and made it free. I do think the people that paid for it should have been given something for supporting the game by buying the DLC.
Yeah thats true the game is really easy i played far cry far with a very offense style and it was almost Impossible even on middle difficulty You had to be tactical and this game im feeling like Rambo going without any tactic in the middle of the Military bases Its crazy i think its weird that you cant make the difficulty higher after you choose action or story mode
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is an amazing game, just not the best “ac experience”, however *personally* I feel it’s more of a “make your own ac game” rather than a set linear experience, and I am all for it. The only true problem is probably the level scaling, which is fine unless you want to turn it off.
I love Arno and his story with Elise. I found it heart breaking and deep. AC Unity is a tragedy story and I don’t think people get that. I think people who haven’t felt deep love for someone won’t like this games story. But if you have, you will relate to Arno very much.
My girlfriend is thankfully still alive but I do get your point, i think the story is concept is very nice but the way it was told brought it down for me. It felt like the game didn’t know if to focus on the assassin stuff or Elise. Did I miss something or did the Assassin story end with Arno getting kicked out of the brotherhood but still keeping his hidden blade and connections?
What’s your favorite historical period? I think you’ll enjoy the series so much if you play ones in settings you like. I love victorian London so I enjoyed Syndicate a lot, the vibe and look of it is so much tun
@@Ganion I love the London setting cause I’m a big fan of Sherlock Holmes and Egypt (from AC Origins) as I love ancient mysteries and all that kind of stuff :)
Biggest dissapointment for me was Black Flag. The setting and water gameplay was great. Great characters as well. But the exploration was just tedious busywork and I hated most of the missions and also the ground combat. Stealth and parkour weren't great either.
I feel like the characters and story is mostly what made me fall inlove with it. When most games nowadays have one note boring characters, I love the personality of everyone in Black Flag. Feels like playing through a movie
@@Ganion I can relate to that. If a game does a couple things better than almost any other game it can be a personal 10/10. For me thats Odyssey. The open world Ubisoft has built there is absolutely phenominal. A couple of missions are real standouts. Its enough to keep me tied to the world and the characters. Once I entered Elysium though I realised that without the beautiful ancient greek world its a 7/10 for me. One thing that adds to the replay value of odyssey, and origins and valhalla may have it too, is the choice to go for lethal builds where everyone including you dies in 1 or 2 hits max. Its pretty satisfying to headshot instakill 7 enemies in 10 seconds.

A lot of the core was playable. Once I hit Ragnarok I felt it was the worst chapter in AC history. Then the dlc I just stopped playing. They lived up to there moniker. Quantity over quality. Odyssey was super fun.
Odyssey isn't even close to this, Odyssey is one of the best in the series in my opinion. With Valhalla it was fine but as soon as I got to the Ragnarok dlc... man I was honestly tired from it
Yeah I wish they would, I have very high level characters on ps4 but now I mostly play on pc and I really don't feel like going over the sarting grind again. A remaster with cross platform would make it a top 3 game forever on my list
Really love this. Too bad you don't make videos about DL2 anymore but at least I found this gem of a video. I tried the DLC as soon as it became free and given to any guy who buys or has bought the base game and it made me concerned about the quality of the DLC but it surpassed my low expectations and it is surprisingly great for something that I got for free. My thoughts are the same as yours but my rating for the DLC would be way higher due to it just being free.
I really like the game but I am waiting for DLC 2 right now, I really hope that it's a big immersive dlc like the Following, that would be so damn good

Ooh I look forward to that. I dabbled in AC and AC Brotherhood before playing AC3. I was very hyped for it from the moment I saw the trailer! I think it's a slow start, but once it kicks off, it's great!
@@FuthorcGaming I am really glad that i put it aside until i finished Rogue. I played the intro and some extra missions but I felt like I wasn’t so interested in the characters. But now with the extra context i feel way more excited to continue it. Especially seeing what made Achilles end up as he did in 3
I just recently finished Rogue for the first time as well. I liked it, though I do understand many of the criticisms it gets. The big ones being it’s just “templars doing assassin stuff” and “the twist is templars good, assassins bad”. I don’t think those are that bad though. I love Shay as a character. His internal struggle was amazing. Just wasn’t explored enough. The whole story felt a bit rushed for me; it kinda does feel like an extended DLC for Black Flag (like you said)
I think it definitely deserves more love, i feel the same way about this game as I feel with Mirage. It would have been a 9/10 if it was longer and more fleshed out but I still appreciate what we got
Great review! I hated the parkour, too. It's pretty badly done, but the Pirate theming and Naval stuff is just so good in comparison that it all works for an overall good experience!

I heard that Valhalla was supposed to be Rome when work started on it. So I don't think that we'll get a Rome creed anytime soon sadly. I would have prefered it by miles over the Viking theme
I finally finished this game a few days ago. I stopped for a couple of years because some of the missions drove me nuts, but after gritting my teeth and finishing the game, i can safely say it's my favourite game in the series! The flow of the gameplay is better than any other game in the series! And what an ending!
@Ganion Dude I was bawling my f***ing eyes out during the ending!!! Mainly because the song sung at the end sounded a lot like a song that was sung during a friend's wake by his sister. I don't know if it was the same but I'm afraid to ask.
Interesting list, similar to mine so far, and Valhalla... oh, Valhalla, what a confusing game: too long, boring, and still I played for 250+ hours, maybe because I kept looking for something, that the game didn't give me and I dont understand why, that has never happened to me with other games, and I agree with what you have said about the clothes : absurd design, and it is not that viking style is not cool, it can be cool, but in Valhalla is not medieval, not viking, not fantasy armors, but a weird mix of these 3 styles, there is not even 1 cool awesome outfit... maybe for forcing players to go to the helix shop, and yet not much good armor sets there... I'm glad that Quebec is making Shadows because I don't trust Montreal for a huge rpg ac as Shadows, if someone can do it well, are the Odyssey developers
I feel you, I have 200+ hours too and I honestly can’t tell why… The Odyssey team is perfect fit for Shadows in my opinion, the amount of cool and interesting outfits in Odyssey was really great. And I feel like they did colors better too. Something just feels weird about Valhalla, I keep feeling like I’m on the verge of finding something cool but it always leaves me blue balled

I’m not crying about it, I love the game a lot just like I love the rpg games. If you watch my previous video you’ll see how much praise I give both of them. I think that both styles of AC are fun and I’m so sick and tired of the endless shit throwing from old and new fans at each other, I don’t get why you can’t enjoy both and you feel the need to insult someone to justify your hate for a certain type of game

Odyssey is the most replayable because decisions matter. Builds are very important. At this moment, I'm trying a mix build (fire + ring ability i can't remember its name). It's amazing against multiple enemies. The world is enjoyable inside the caves, above or under the ocean, on islands, strongholds, legendary animals, mercenaries.
@sujeto026 For some reason I never succeded in making an archer build work no matter how hard I tried, one day tho... It's so much fun to character build in this game
@Ganion but honestly I never play any of the assassin's creed again ....the reason y play the game again for its dlc ..then whole collection sleeps in library forever.....that 2d and 2.5d have so much replay value than main ones all from Java android and symbian ds versions ....more replay value 👌 for me
I have no problem if ubisoft will add an expansion to this game even if it costs $15-$20. The game is so short that I had to finish all the side quest first before moving to the main quest. 😑
I feel like an abused wife or something. I go back to it every month or two and after playing for a couple of hours I’m like “this is exactly why I left you! I thought you’d be different this time”
@@Ganion hahah call it ‘a guilty pleasure’ then :))) I get sidetracked almost every time I start up the game to progress further in the main story and after 4 hours I realize that I only completed raids, side missions and world events 😅
I came here after getting an ad for some "Assassins Creed Shadows" game and wondering what happened to the "old school AC" Mirage they were making, guess it released _really_ quietly...?!?! Shame it doesn't sound like it fully delivers on its promises of "classic AC" but i do see some traces of it, might pick it up in a sale i guess, thanks for the video 👍

I like the story and characters in Odyssey but I could only get 10 hours into it because I really don't like the gameplay. Character control feels so loose, like a lady of the night on sunday morning. I wanted to see more story, it's a shame i couldn't get on with the rest.
Maybe try it some more? The controls don't really change but you do unlock new abilities that make stealth and combat a lot more fun. I think the story is worth playing regardless tho
There's so much more to AC1 than most people realise. Best parkour system, best combat, story hidden in every crevice. Seriously watch the video on AC1 combat by DaBeanieBoi. You will want to replay the game.
As an OG Assassin's Creed fan, Odyssey is the opposite of everything I want from an AC game. Choosing your character and having multiple endings are direct contradictions to the entire premise of the series.
Syndicate improved a lot from unity, but also changed a lot, making combat more similar to batman arkham than old ac games, Grappling hook The rooks are a downgrade to assassins, their max level is 9 and enemy level is 10. Story was.....weird, unprofessional Comedy dialogue Beautiful city and a train is your hideout Stealth is good Assassinations are good Has throwing knifes. Edward kenway mansion/house. Edit: Cool detective missions
It had lots of positives and negative for sure. I think for me personally the England charm made me like it so much, it’s unashamedly fun and I love that about it
It's the third i play unity already, and how is syndicate's parkour mole polished? Seems like you don't know what you're since Syndicate's is too laged and even more automated than unity, you can't even use the jump button. Not saying that London is not good for parkour. Saying syndicate's parkour is better than unity is mindless.
Assassin's creed one , I still play it till now even after I finished all the other and after all those years still a great game, the nostalgia and the first feeling still there. 3:06 Unity really ?????? it is the one best gameplay in the whole series especially now with the fixes and mods
