I have a maroon 98 soarer. Bought it while in Japan in 2020 and currently shipping it to the states. Didn’t know I came up at the time but so glad I never sold it!
Oh yeah. The 35th is just soo boring. They made 2050 with the z01 package. (Only 180 manuals) They only hold they're value like no other regular production c4 when taken care of or with low mileage. I get it though. You either love em or hate em.
Super underrated content! I have a NB2 on comfortable coilovers, advan wheels, good tires and a little catback upgrade. Im super happy. Every issue you've mentioned is spot on lol! i really want some Garage Vary parts such as the front bumper and wing. Those are my dream parts. Would love to turbo it one day but really enjoying the reliability.
These cars are cursed: + When you roll up behind another car, they think you are a cop -so they slow down. Not a big deal if it is a multi lane road, but if you are on single lane roads with no passing it's the worst. These cars thrive on highways not in towns. + Because of the up-fitting removal they may have electrical gremlins. If you are not a hands on guy don't bother buying one unless it has been gone though by someone knowledgeable. + They eat gas. This ain't no four banger. If you like putting your right foot down a lot be prepared to stop at the pumps more often. Do the DOD removal and expect mileage to get worse. -and they run best on > 91 octane. + Body parts are getting scarce. Thanks to hoarders, internet, and the popularity of the caprice you may have a hard time finding parts. If you do find the part, be prepared to bend over for the purchase. + The stock headlights suck. Very basic lighting. If the headlights are weathered/hazed, expect worse night time illumination. Decent replacement headlights will easily be over $500 -for used ones. Still want one? 😃
bought a new 89 honda crx dx from the dealership and drove it for 10 yrs. I beat the heck out of that car and finally called the junkyard to come get it around 230K. I wish I had treated it better but I was young and dumb. I miss it now would be nice to still have it.
Just picked up a one owner (older couple) bone stock 94 GS-R two door. Still have window sticker from local dealer. Factory radio still works perfect. They never even tinted the windows. 138k miles. Spotted it parked on the street for sale less than an hour after they put it there.
@paperboy371 that's not a bad price for a untouched one, seems like the market is going to keep going up now since there's not many left on the road. Debating selling mine
I loved my 87. Had a 2+2 auto that i bought for $1000 with 160k at that time. Had the squat/ tire wear issue but never got around to replacing the bushings. I had that throttle stick issue with the rubber piece. Thought my car was going to blow up haha. Theres not a lot of aftermarket parts for this chassis though. Everyone focuses on the z32
The ticking could also be from an improper oil filter as the OEM oil filter has a pressure relief valve for VTEC operation. I experienced this in my AP2 and the 'problem' went away immediately with the proper filter 🤘
I have a '91 non-turbo with the factory sun roof/moon roof/whatever they called it. So I think you may have bad info about that? I dunno. I read that that there were supposedly only 300 total factory sunroof cars, '91-'92. But other sources suggest that number could be 300 per year. So I'm not sure.
So the SAP package was never offered in 04 , I belive it was only something offered in 06, the 18in wheels were not an option in 04 though a small number of cars did get them later in the year. Now lets talk about Pusle red, Pulse red is a exermaly rare color and means something very specail. only around 750 cars were producded with this color in 04 512 came with the 6peed while the reset were auto, Another thing to add was the intior , the intor was all black and gray . the insterment pannel is gray and not read and all the stiching is silver , how ever the GTO on the seats are red. if this is your car it mean you have the 40th annaversy ED. after the 750 (est) were made they went to a different red.
I love my weekend warrior Chevy C10, but I might attempt to start a welding business soon and in that case the C10 is going to have to go and I want a pre-DEF diesel truck to replace it with.
I brought an S2000 in 2002 (AP1) and only have 55,000 on it. There is no car like this. I’m waiting for the 2025 S2000 to come out if it does happen. I’ll be waiting to buy one to match my 2002 S2000.
