I bought Asi's download hoping he would explain the technique for riffling before the cut. But he doesn't. I'm supposed to just get good with riffling with my thumb?
Yeah, just explore with different parts of your thumb, and see what works best for you. I find it more difficult when I'm near either end. It can get a bit clunky. If I need to cut at 49, and I see I have 48, I will start to pull and use my left thumb to slide back card 49 while my right thumb repositions to grab it and glide it back into the box. That helped give me more confidence when I'm near the ends.
thank you so much for discovering this routine, which is indeed one of the best with a person. I'm going to add it to my repertoire and test it in public. 👏😀😃😄
I haven’t had time to run thru all your recent uploads but this one is very similar to many others I’ve used over the years so didn’t take a lot of working out! It’s still very nice 👌🏻 I like it as you bury the selections at the end. One thing your viewers may want to experiment with especially if using a new deck I’m using aristocrats is after you have buried the selections is to do complete a thumb fan as all four aces show up as being on top all of a sudden hence the last one sudden materialises face up but the face down cards in between remain hidden. Then do a fake move etc and show.
Josh are you familiar with Greg Chapman's Searchers Outdone? It follows the same progession but with a different selection process. Also, it uses 2 assigned sandwich cards unlike in this one which uses 2 random cards. I can show my performance of it if you're not familiar, if you don't mind. Here’s the effect: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KAlTBh1TLGc.html
Lovely, I really like it! The addition of the undo influence to position the cards and simultaneously select a pair of mates is brilliant. Btw, your faro shuffle is incredible. 🤜🤛
@@jeancerien9408 I am! In fact my 2 favorite card men are Allan Ackerman and Jack carpenter. Greg Chapman has some really good faro ideas also if you have not heard of him. 😊
Using equivoque (magician's choice) you will always force the card at the number. If, for example, you are forcing the 4 of clubs, and you say, which did I remove, the red or the blacks...if they say red, you say okay, we removed the reds, so that leaves us with blacks. Now you force the clubs on them. An easy way is to say I have the clubs in one hand, spades in the other, if I toss one onto the table, which ones did I toss onto the table? If they say spades, you say okay, that leaves me with the clubs in my hands. Then you would equivoque the value. If they say, clubs, you say imagine they landed in perfect order, Ace to King, now we have odd numbers and even numbers, which do you want to eliminate first? Then, continue forcing the card. It works for any card in the deck. You just need to practice your script. I can make a video on equivoque if you would like?
Another superb presentation Josh, never been comfortable with this one but you performed it like a pro. What am I on about your are are pro in my eyes.👍😊👍
