I'm trying to fish the matches at the oaks on a sundays (Ash, Beech, Sycamore) and my first goal would be to get 3 figures in lbs but as yet that's just not happened 🤔 I've tried meat, pro expanders, both flavoured with F1 krill & squid fishing the inside edge and top kit plus one straight out feeding well soaked micros again flavoured with F1 krill & squid. I've tried maggot but get bitted out. Any advice much appreciated 🙏🙏
Adam, Got a small club match on Cedar this weekend, not sure what pegs we got yet. Would your meat fishing method work on there? And also if your priming it for 2/3 hours first before going on it,what would you fish for the first part of the match?
Hi Carl l, thanks for that I always hair rig my bands, if I want to hook one then I just slip the one on my hair rig into the hook to keep it closer to the hook. Mostly when I’m catching smaller fish like skimmers and small f-s
Hi Adam, hope you can help, im fishing a 13mtr snake lake with mainly 3 to 10lb carp & its hard fished water , im seeing lots of signs of carp in peg but getting them to feed is a nightmare, as im sure they wait till we go, or they have already fed up on prior matches, how would you go about tackling a venue like this, any tips to get them feeding, thanks in advance Steve
hi adam good video ,when you say dead depth is that plumbed up to the bottom of the body of the float?or is it what we all used to call dead depth to the top of the float ,i fish a very silty venue like that and the fish rip the bottom up propper ,cheers

If you get chance will you do a vid on a match at winfield I was on the same match as you pal last year n you smashed it up I'm only a club angler but go on Andy's opens when I get chance but never quite catch enough lol cheers
Great video and summary at end. Hindsight is brilliant 🙃🙃. Still great weights for time of year. Pity margin didn't come to life it would have been interesting. Still 4th overall not to bad a result.
Enjoyed the video and the explanation afterwards, could have shown us your bait tray. I’ve never banded meat must have been a large band so as not to cut through it. Good result.
Hi Stephen I don’t actually band the meat, I put the meat on a hooked baiting needle then hook it into the band stretch the band and slide the meat onto it When you let the band go and it contracts it holds inside of the meat
Great result, first match on the lakes and sounds like they all feed. What a difference a couple of days make 6th April and it’s snowing with a minus wind chill 😂😂😱👏👏

@@tonyorlando5973 I normally get it from b and m or home bargains but they all seem to be sold out the last few weeks 🙁...... must be a bad rush on people eating luncheon meat sandwiches! 😂
Do you always put a shot on your 6 inch hooklength? Every other video I watch people use 4 inch hooklengths and shot above the knot whats your opinion on it?
If I’m fishing with a bulk close to the hook I tend to use short hooklengths but when it’s just a dropper I usually put a sort on my hooklengths I just feel it looks a lot nicer with the loop knot further from the bait, gives me loads more confidence
It can be deadly on certain day. It’s the only way to catch sometimes When fish don’t really want to feed Exciting to picking your fish out and trying to catch it
Cheers Adam i enjoyed that. The Oaks is my favourite venue and was fishing on Maple the same day peg 16, and was a brilliant days fishing, never caught so many in my life. I was taking notice of what you were saying as im going to have a go in a match for the 1st time (i will bring a gum shield) ! thanks again.
Hi richard You ll really enjoy it. Not the easiest place to win as the standard of anglers is high but loads to learn and every one is very friendly and helpful If I’m there come and have a chat and I’ll help where I can. If not have a word with Ghandi he s always willing to help

Thanks very much 🙂 I find with a spike it gets stuck in the bet a lot and real the hair off even when using a fine mesh bet. With a band it’s not a problem i have The other bonus is you only need one lot of hooklengths where as with spikes you’d have to tie them seperate to your banded ones
