What can one do if they do not have all those items or cannot afford all those items to style the hair?? I only have one pair of scissors, a comb, and a brush.

I know this may be late, but I found that latex and sometimes somewhat dried glue are also good ways on applying and smoothing out added accessories on cosplaying, I would suggest latex because it sticks on better while the glue can break... Wax works as well ^^ but it can be harder to find, you can find latex adhesive and glue at party stores and Amazon, glue (like Elmer's liquid glue) can be found at Target (or other simar stores). I have been trying to find a good Eridan cosplay tutorial and this is exactly what I needed ^^ I was planning on cosplaying him for Halloween. Continue your work! I have a wig that I also mounted deer antlers to in a similar way, I took a headband and drilled a hole through where I wanted the anthers to be then I put the headband on (without the anthers) and then put the wig on top of the headband and pulled the screws through the wig where I wanted the horns to sit. I then pulled the headband and wig off together and screwed the horns on. it's hilarious having people walk in circles around me trying to figure out how I did it, especially when they don't realize it's a wig.

AAAh, this honestly scares me! To be honest, I had no idea that you had to cut a wig in order for it to look right, and I sort of regret spending hours trying to look for a wig that looks exactly like his hair. Soo, I have a question. Would I be able to take a wig into a salon to be cut??
I don't know, I never went to a salon to cut my wig ! I think the best is asking directly there, but I guess they won't say no, because that's money :B
