If you flew on Aug 29th 2023 this would be a Tuesday. I was wondering why none of the local flyers were not present. Bluff Cove is only flyable on Sat and Sun and local PD will site you for flying on any other day. It will also be reported and could potentially get us shutdown. We welcome any sloper to fly with us here but please do not fly on any other day but the weekend! I have many flying videos of flying at Bluff Cove, Point Fermin and other Power flying sites listed on RU-vid under mohr41 or morrimohr
Nah fly when you want, let them write citations and tickets and all that, waste their time ticketing people doing a harmless activity instead of dealing with the literal raving lunatics in the street or heck, bad drivers. I am so tired of you people shrinking in terror at the oppressive authorities, it's a toy glider, fuk the police. Stop trying to control everyone. No reason you can't fly here on the weekdays and the weekends.
Nicely done.... I am just thinking about getting back into RC Gliders. I note that you are using KST servo's. I looked up the price of them and WOW.... they are pretty spendy... $75 dollary doos (Im in australia). Do you think it is better to spend the dough on better servos, or a 'whizz bang' radio....... What radio do you use??
WOW.... JUST WOW, the last I Flew gliders, it was a 'gentle lady' 2m polyhedral wing with a 2CH Futaba radio (FM of course) that cost me most of a weeks paycheck (remember the old FM peg boards). I also liked throwing stuff off a slope. Im thinking about getting back into it. I like the idea of DLG or F3K (if I am feeling lazy). Now I am older and have more CASH F5J looks pretty cool to, but reckon I would need to put in some time on smaller cheaper models. IS an F5J easy to fly?? What would you advise?
Yeah this seem like a good model for me I am not an old guy (57 aint old) but some years ago I had a motorcycle accident in which I broke 9 out of the 24 vertabrae that you can move, so Im sorry but DLG seems a little too 'athletic' for me. Does anyone sell these things in Australia? Also Its from the Ukraine huh?? Can you get it with an optional 'T90' kit that takes out russian tanks??
Thanks so much for your build videos especially this one, as I’m a crapy builder building a Multiplex DG500 (cannot believe I’ve purchased a NEW old kit from a friend who had it for 20-30 years). Never had anyone to learn to build from, so your guidance is GOLD to me. Thank you. ❤
In fact, Vantage and VracE have the same root airfoil and the positions of the torsion pins, MPX-connectors and joiners are identical. This makes it possible to use the VANTAGE wings on the VracE fuselage. It is correct that the MPX-connectors have been swapped on the VracE. This was a feedback from many pilots and the modified version now also corresponds to my personal preference: the current-carrying contacts in the fuselage are now better protected and short circuits cannot happen so easily. Since the conversion of the MPX-connector on the VANTAGE wing is quite simple and the advantages outweigh the disadvantages in my opinion, I deliberately pushed for this change. I think that the VANTAGE wing harmonizes very well with the VracE fuselage and tail unit and I assume that CCM will probably install suitable MPX plugs when the corresponding orders are placed. The KST-HS08 should fit quite good in the fuselage. I personally use the MKS HV75 in my VracE, but here you have to make a new servoplate. I saw one VracE with KST MS320 in the fuselage but it´s quite narrow :) edit: I recommend CG 102mm
Great to see another vid in the LS7 series. Interesting to see your design choices. The flap mod would scare me. I’ve an incomplete, partly mouse eaten LS3 mpx kit in the garage, I got some multiplex air brakes for it at the time. They seem to be still available, but expensive.
Just built one of these in the uk, have fun with the build 😅, keep the cg most forward of the recommended position, 2cell 450mah climbs like a homesick angel! About 5 climb outs to 100m on that size lipo.
You say that it is sometimes good to launch low. What happens if you do this and don’t use the full 30 seconds of motor run time? Are you penalised for this?
@@flightcompслишком сложно, мудрено, глупо, трудоёмко, требует дорогих серв. Установил по классике и стало. Надёжно, проще настраивать, перед полетом виден отказ.
So I watched your x-tail build too and you weren't too happy with the control linkage setup and amount of servo resolution you were able to use. If you were building the x-tail again after this, would you also bend and trim the clevises for that too? Do you think it would also benefit from this modification?
