@@idabsalot1093 The special tool is pretty cheap. I mean, in a pinch I suppose you could figure it out(I know I have a few times in a pinch) but for $20 it would be MUCH easier to use a tool to compress the calipers since they screw in. Hope that is helpful.

Also, you can rent them from local auto parts store most time. May be more pricey than buying the tool though. Lol

Great video! I nave an MK4 TDI (great car) I use it alot for the dog and hauling just aobut anything. Thinking of gettng the nre MK7 sport. If I pull the lower seats out will teh back seats fold flat? I am trying to get a flat surface. Thanks
Thanks for the comment! Hard to tell until I try it. But I would say that is a very fair assumption. They are almost flat now. I have my dog back there and he can lay around without issue. Taking the bottom seat cushion out would defiantly make it completely or almost completely flat. Hope this is helpful!
I had my volume up full and still couldn't hear you speak. Your camera shots are too close and bounce around too much f or my tired old eyes to decipher. Other than that, you are very thorough, and I appreciated that. Why must I unplug the battery? Are the air bags going to go off? The car will lose all it's settings.
That's a GREAT point! 29psi IS what the procedure calls for in order to flush through the ABS module. If by choice, someone decided to do this w/o a pressure bleeder, ensure the engine is running when you have that second person pumping/releasing the brake pedal as you are bleeding. That will activate the ABS and provide the pressure necessary to bleed through - otherwise, you will definitely notice a difference in braking (for the worse). Decent video 👍
Do you know if you have to replace the o rings? I’m doing overdue maintenance on mine and they look fine but I’m not sure if I should replace one or both of the o rings.
Hey Berry MK7. It wouldn’t hurt. I have not done so yet but I would imagine in the future I may need to. I would reach out to GFB. They have been very helpful in the past and have replaced a part for nothing in the past. Hope this is helpful!
Tried to watch this to confirm if my irratating click on the seat could be resolved, but sadly not enough clarity. Do you know of any parts that make the seat click when you put pressure on the back rest please? I can feel the click on the left hand side middle, the oposite side from the height adjuster. Any ideas please?
Hey Mathew, I would say check the lumbar support. May not be staying in place or something may be broken in it. If it is a plastic “click” I would start there. Also, the trim can do that if it’s not properly seated. I hope this is helpful. Keep us posted on what you find and good luck on your project.
I just use a clean microfiber cloth, then re-oil it. There is really no contaminants to get off and everything with come clean with a simple wipe. Hope this is helpful.
Hey Chris, quick question... in this video do you have a Unitronic turbo inlet pipe installed? I got one on my MK7.5 GTI and I've been meaning to get a GFB DV+ but from what I've heard it wont fit with the Unitronic inlet pipe.
Hey Emilio, I have an APR inlet pipe. So sorry couldn’t tell you any info on Unitronic and comparability. I would suggest looking through forums I’m sure someone will be able to answer that. If not reach out to Unitronic. They are a great company and I’m sure they would be able to tell you. Hope that points you in the right direction and keep us posted!
@@chrisbenedettoracing I just got word from Unitronic and in fact it does not fit, sadly. I guess I’m going to have to do more research for an replacement Diverter Valve. Thanks for you information though!
