Humans are not denser than water, that is why you have to add weights keep them under water. when paralyzed they will float to the surface. just flip them on to their back so they don't drown.

You didn't mention the size of each layer/mount of the plane. Each mount is finite but hundreds of thousands of miles in diameter. Though, the void they hang in is infinite
I am a late comer to your videos but I'm loving them. I've used this jungle encounter and expounded on it. My party is 3 sessions in and haven't made it out yet. 😂. The party is lvl 7 so I built out the man eating plant encounter. It included bushes and trees waking up and a couple wood woads. It was quite the challenge. Then I added a gnome village side quest prior to them meeting the kenku. At the river crossing I added two huge crocodiles and a huge snake. In the shrine they encountered two gelatinous cubes and two mummies before finally reaching the Yuanti group. So far so good!
I feel like one of the best ways to turn a bandit encounter into something truly dangerous is to have the bandit leader be a military deserter, very skilled perhaps even weilding a magical item or two. His or her crew being trained more like soldiers and guerilla fighters instead of your run of the mill hero fodder. Example: The party is traveling as a caravan escort to make some extra money on their way to their destination. They pass through a heavily wooded area with a fairly narrow road (barely wide enough for two carriages to pass by one another) with hills next to the road. Eventually the caravan is forced to stop when they find a couple of large trees blocking the road so the groups fighter or barbarian assists the crew in moving it while the cleric, sorcerer, artificer and rogue stay back with the rest of the caravan. As the fighter and crew begin to try to move the trees they suddenly hear a sound of another tree falling directly behind the caravan... Followed by the sounds of arrows and bolts being loosed, hitting and killing one of the crew moving the tree and injuring the fighter while several bandits equipped with melee weapons rush to attack the caravan from both sides. The trap is sprung and there is nowhere to run without abandoning the caravan and hoping the bandits dont shoot you in the back. Roll initiative. Beyond the trees and just out of sight are several more bandits still firing volleys of bolts and arrows, forcing the players to make a decision: stay and fight the bandits that rushed in while being fired upon with impunity by the snipers or split up with half the group dealing with the melee enemies and the others going after the snipers. Even if the players catch up to the sniper group they find the enemy well camouflaged and being coordinated by the bandit leader while his second in command leads the melee group. If the party chooses to split off to chase down and distract the snipers they quickly find themselves playing a game of cat and mouse through the woods with various traps to dodge all while being led around by the nose and buying time for the melee group to finish off those that stayed behind. The party trys to fireball some of the snipers? Have them cause a forest fire making the battle even more chaotic. Perhaps the sniper group were also trying to lure the players into the perfect spot for the Captain to finish them off themself on advantageous terrain. This could also be used as an attempted assassination against the party with the caravan simply being collateral damage with witnesses to silence which could make the need to defend them even more dire as there will be no running away. Alternatively perhaps the caravan is carrying a magical item of great value (without the partys knowledge) with a greedy noble or bbeg scheming to get their hands on it and a band of mercenaries take job disguising themselves as bandits and quickly recognize the party to be a potential obstacle.

Some encounters I would have definitely included involve a herd of hadrosaurs which might stampede if the party is not stealthy a tyrannosaurus pair wandering through the jungle and an abandoned village which has become a deinonychus den and they can open doors so if the players decide to rest they may find themselves in a very jurassic park situation dinosaurs make everything more fun
