I'm constantly trying to hack my life to make it easier and happier. Maybe something I've learned along the way will resonate with you too.
I'll tend to focus on all things Health & Wellness which include Physical, Emotional, Mental, & Spiritual Health - my definitions are different than most. What drives Human Behavior is a key interest as well as Human Connection.
My hobbies & videos also include: DIY, life problem solving, Backpacking, Triathlon, Fitness, Nutrition, and Gear.
Life is a journey and this Channel will be too. I'm glad you're willing to join me in this adventure.
@DrKeithMcNally, there are so many options! I love my Six Moon Design tents but to replace my 1-person, I'm leaning toward the Durston X-Mid Pro 1. It's on the high end of price (DCF version) but has the features I prefer and weighs just 17.6 oz.
@@DrKeithMcNally How do you like your Durston? Which version? I have not purchased one yet but it's my leading contender. It's said to be one of the easiest trekking pole tents to setup especially in the rain. What's your experience been? There's a very active Facebook Group you might consider joining if you haven't already.
Hi thanks so much for this video! My apple watch puts my zone two at 127-139, and using your formula I would be at 108-135 - can you shed some light onto why there is this difference?
I’ve been using low carb to help me with indoor cycling and I’ve been feeling great and losing weight, thanks for the advice on how to improve endurance and the assurances you’ve given throughout the video.
@@msalehkarami, awesome! My #1 rule is, "if it's working for you, keep on doing it." I'm glad the video is making sense. Indoor cycling is a great way to Base Train! Keep us posted on how you're doing!
This is such valuable information, especially for those of us who have struggled with energy crashes during endurance activities. Learning how to train your body to become a fat-burning machine is a game changer! Thanks for sharing your insights and experience. What kind of fat would you recommend to eat?
@@noemiberes, so happy the information is resonating with you. Generally speaking, most fat is fine... it's when it's added with sugar where the problems truly stem. That said, I'd stick with animal fats, nuts, seeds, and avocado. I use only EVOO & coconut oil. No seed oils or other highly processed oils.
Thanks for sharing this information! It’s fascinating how our bodies convert different macronutrients into energy and the role each one plays during various types of exercise.
A powerful reminder, no shortcuts in life, whether it’s building muscle, mastering a skill, or nurturing relationships. It’s all about consistency and putting in the work, day in and day out. The truth about "use it or lose it" really hits home. Time to start practicing! Peace. Love. Connect.
This video really made me think about the habits we repeat without realizing it. For instance, I often find myself reaching for sweets after lunch, even though I know it doesn’t serve me well. By noticing these habits and making small changes, we can shift towards behaviors that make us happier and more fulfilled. It’s a great reminder to keep our daily practices positive and purposeful!
Great video, Kevin. Everyone has unique perspectives and talents to offer. As an entrepreneur and mixed-media artist, I believe in sharing stories and connecting with others to enrich lives through diverse experiences and creative expression.
@@noemiberes, thank you! Glad it resonates. Every person's perspective IS different and we each benefit from hearing more. Growth can be contagious and inspire us to further branch out.
@@KevinRStrauss, Yes, absolutely! The beauty of our human experience is that we each have unique stories, perspectives, and passions that enrich the lives of those around us. And when we share those stories with each other, we open ourselves up to new possibilities and new growth.
@@noemiberes, you're welcome! Glad you found the video helpful. Please let us know how you're feeling as you begin increasing your hydration. Do you feel like the plants after a big storm, so lush & vibrant?!
Absolutely spot-on, Kevin! Improvement comes from consistent effort and practice. There are no shortcuts to mastering anything, whether fitness, skills, or building meaningful relationships. The key is persistence and dedication. Thanks for the reminder that real progress is a journey, not a quick fix!
@@KevinRStrauss I have too many things I want to practice persistently, including mixed media collage making, daily walks, biking, weight training, rolling with my foam rollers, and playing on my frame drum and hang.
@DrKeithMcNally, glad you liked it! Care to share an answer or two of your own? Perhaps something you're doing unconsciously could open someone else's eyes to what they might be doing that isn't serving them.
@@DrKeithMcNally, it's empowering to know a healing modality! Keep us posted on how the "practice" is going. Isn't it interesting that we use the phrase "practice medicine". It's lifelong learning, like most everything! ☮❤🤝
Thank you so much Sir, you have saved us a few hundreds! We had been having this error for a few days and couldn’t figure out what it meant, after watching your video, we saw water backed up and my hubby immediately went and vacuumed the outside and so much junk came out!!! You’re a life saver! Cant thank you enough!!! 😊
@Anjalimohan1 - So happy to hear, that's awesome! Please consider subscribing for all kinds of life hacks & insights for health, wellness, and happiness. ☮❤🤝
My pleasure @garycreekmore9967! I'm trying to post more videos to make life easier. I just posted one a few minutes ago about [Tennis] Elbow Pain Relief, fyi.
@Go-X-plore, true! Including the satellite beacons people swear by now. Thankfully, altercations where a defense items is truly needed is pretty rare. 🙏
Thank you for the great tips. I started using these exercises to heal my Plantar Fasciitis, which works. It's a slow process, but consistently doing it has helped me a lot. Thank you, Kevin,
@noemiberes, so happy to hear the videos are helping you heal. Consistency addressing the root cause is key. Keep at it! All the best and thanks for letting us know how you're doing.
@@KevinRStrauss I’m planning the Uinta Highline sometime in July. If I can’t work out the logistics for that I’ll be doing the Big SEKI loop in the Sierra.
@@KevinRStrauss I won’t be fast packing the Uinta because I’m doing it in about 7 days to give me time to do some fly fishing so I will be taking extra gear. I do have a 100 mile challenge coming in June that I will be doing under 50 hours. That will definitely be fast packing.
Thanks @creator_tutorials! Maybe so, or just more backpacking in general. Here's a link to helping coach people 40+ (or anyone really) get started - forms.gle/YMM62P7GL2rXHfNm8
@_wildexplorer, my #1 rule is, "if it works for you, keep doing it". My experience with massage guns is they feel good while using them and for a very short time afterward (<60 min.) but don't seem to provide a lasting effect. They're easier to use but not nearly as effective, IMO.
