I ordered a holster for S&W model 19 from pusat Holster Manufacturer in Istanbul, Türkiye. Took 3 days total, faster than most Amazon in the U.S.💥 Very good quality 👏
Many times you have to ask these products from Ebay sales pages of Indians and Pakistanis many questions before and they fail to do things, I have seen that it is a waste of time and money in their products. I have also seen that many times they change names but they are the SAME MANUFACTURERS!! . What you say about the subject of weapons in India is surely like that, which is why making a holster for a certain weapon is complicated.
Here's my two cents. You get what you pay for. My holsters that I use in S.A.S.S. competition are from T-Star Leather in Oklahoma. Brett is a good guy and an excellent craftsman. His work is not cheap, but it's worth every penny.
I know this is an older video and you probably won't see this comment. But in the event you do, the knowledge you're passing on to us is much appreciated. I got into black piwder revolvers back in the mid 1980's after being infatuated with the movie The Outlaw Josey Wales. My first BP revolver that i still shoot today after being rebuild 6 or 7 times, is an old CVA imported Armi San Marco 1858 Remington. I now have several other Remingtons, but I do prefer Colts now, with the 1960 being my favorite. Thanks again. I always look forward to your new videos.
Federal regulations are the least of our problems here in New York. That antique double action S&W 44 is regarded as a modern firearm. In order to own one, there’s not only a full background check, but you need to obtain a hard-to-get pistol permit.
Why bother with the indian made ones? If you want a cheap holster get one from Mexico. Ive bought a few over the years and they were always as advertised and in the same price range
Mr. Mike! Thank you for this interesting and cautionary tale. I remember some 9 yrs ago ordering a holster for my LeMat. Holster is solid Heavy Duty leather with some engraving on it. The holster came from an online American Craftsman who used a mold so the fit is perfect. This holster ran the princely Sum of 69.99 and shipping. One of the best things that I ever bought for the Lemat. I'm going to definitely follow your advice on this issue. Stay Safe!
As I sit here filling my Amazon and eBay orders, I found both humor and reality in this content. Thank you Mike. Now I'm scared to send you a pouch for review. We all live and die by customers reviews.

Fabulous video! I really enjoyed watching it... while smoking a pipe and drinking 1851 coffee... 🙂 Yes sir, I don't know about the USA but here in France we can buy 1851 coffee at Lidl... If you want some I'll send it to you. Cheers!
That first holster looks like it may fit an S&W 1st Model Double Action. Please try one in it and let us know. It would be great to find an affordable holster design for those behemoths .Does anyone make a good pants belt holster hi ride holster that fits an SAA that is suitable for carry in the 4 O'clock position? I often wear a large bore SAA when foresting but don't think much of cowboy style holsters as they are not suitable for CCW (required in some stores if you don't want to be asked to leave) when I go to the store. I have many suitable holsters for 1911s and DA .38/357 revolvers, even on old (leather) Bianchi suitable for CCW of a modern 4" S&W M29 or 25,, but nothing similar for an SAA. The closest I have found is a slip on OWB holslter that was easy to modify to accept a hammer thong, but the plastic clip formulation is too soft and the gun flops. Also it rides lower than I would like for CCW carry unless I am wearing a long coat. That's sad. I am not interested in a Kydex holster. I am seeking a leather holster that can hold it;s own with my collection of Safariland, Cobra and Bianchi OWB concealed carry holsters.
The only thing better than biting the bullet and seeing if a deal is too good is somebody else doing it! Thanks for taking one for the tram and lookingninto this, it was very informative, especially since it wasn't just a sample size of one.
I recently bought a Remington NM Police conversation at auction and my God, it's beautiful. Really good condition. I also got the kit from HLE. I'm very new to this so I wanted to ask. Can I use Triple Seven FFFG to load these? I can live without a finger or two but. I'd be sad if I destroyed a piece of history.
I buy very few things. Made in Pakistan-China-India. Knives are not heat treated. Leather is machine embossed. I also would rather support American small business.
Question: How is the leather tanned, vegetable tanned or acid tanned. If the leather is acid tanned, the finish on your revolvers will suffer. Are the inside of the holsters lined or just rough leather.
