You did really good with this remix. The problem with many others I notice is that they tend to make the song way more orchestral and while that's nice, the songs then start sounding the same after a while.
Thanks, I appreciate the kind words! I tried to add more phased instruments to keep the variety up, as well as a punchier bassline (and some additional arps towards the end!) that I hope keeps the energy up! ;)
In my attempt to fix one of the chords at 0:10 , I have managed to make an incorrect call on one of the notes - it should have been a D# not D at the end of the 8th frame. My sincere apologies! The classic case of fixing one thing but introducing something else eh ....
@@JonponMusic When I played F-ZERO on the SNES(PAL 1993), the Mode 7 effect was so ingrained in my brain that I saw the tracks on my school desk... GREAT Times! The N64 version had the best soundtrack, especially the whole thing on one cartridge. I also love the GameCube version ♥️ GREETZ 🤖 & and a nice Weekend 🌞🥨🍻🏵️
Yes it was 30 car races ! I miss these styles of games that have many opponents on the track at once it feels great to keep seeing others on the track at the same time and you get to overtake more haha
Hah yeah I do find that the window of what can sound good with the stock instruments in LMMS can be a little narrow but I have not really tackled anything more advanced yet! I do hope to have a look at the ZynAddSubFX plugin in the future though.
Yes this definitely has some inspiration I believe from the "Martial Law" track ! I think this one originally started as a direct cover and then decided to switch out the expansions for something different and go my own way ;)
This is absolutely a song ive been meaning to cover at some point. Hearing this just makes me want to do it more... If only I didn't have so many projects on my plate already. Lol But hey, this sounds fantastic! You've captured so much of this track perfectly I think.
Thank you ! I'm glad you enjoyed ~ Hah I know the feeling - this track could actually work better in Super Mario Paint actually due to the percussion and other instrument selection that you have. I've still only scratched the surface when it comes to LMMS hah.
Speaking of VS fighting games: I also bought DOA2(DC), DOA3(X-BOX), DOA4 & DOA ULTIMATE this year. Along with SoulCalibour(DC), these are my favorites and probably the end of an era. P.S.:Tekken 3 on the PSX was awesome back then! GREETZ 🤖@@JonponMusic
@@robogod3000 YES the DOA series is awesome ! My first one was DOA3 on the Xbox as it was a release title! My favourite characters were Gen Fu and Brad Wong I think
Honestly, I've gone back and forth about whether or not I like this track, but the more that I listen to it, the more that I recognize its genius. Its a very unique interpretation of original song and it works extremely well.
I appreciate it - thank you for the kind words ! There is so much discordance in the track that it was quite difficult to capture that in only four channels. It wasn't the best for sure but it was fun to throw in some of my own twists in there along the way ;)
@@robogod3000 Ah sorry to hear , I never owned one myself - I only had the Sega collections on the Xbox ! 😅 Now that you mention it , I miss my Dreamcast that I had to sell a while back too 😭
@@JonponMusic oh brother... luckily I still have the DC in my collection. the Sega Collection for Xbox360 was awesome. p.s. If you like ALTERED BEAST, check out my cover... GREETZ & a NICE WEEKEND 🏵️ 🤖🙏
I love your little writeup about Stormwind city! I only played bits and pieces of World of Warcraft, but the atmosphere of virtual worlds is of utmost fascination to me and your description definitely channels a fun vibe. Oh and the music's good, too!
Thanks - I'm glad that you enjoyed my little ramble ! Yeah , it was a lot of close community fun in the early days of World of Warcraft that I do miss a lot. It's definitely something that I want to focus on - getting that atmosphere right when it comes to a piece of music.
this feels like Focus (old) and Focus (new) mixed together. well done! (if you don’t know, Focus was part of another album Chipzel made called Phonetic Symphony)
Thank you ! Yeah I'm actually not sure whether they're completely identical but I believe they're both wavetables. I used to inspect the wave from the Gameboy ROM file in memory but I (ironically) can't remember how I was able to do that ! Can't believe this was 11 years ago hah !
