It's been a thousand years since I thought of your vids but you pointed into my head today. Thanks for still having your channel up, I hope that life is well. I watched your vids before and during my loc journey of 10 years. I since cut them. Your channel is such a classic in the loc youtube community
I’ve watched probably 30 videos of how to dread using different methods, but this was the most informative for back combing and crochet. Thank you so very much. Dreading mine currently because of this video and they’re looking fantastic.
U should try using Snappee - Snap-Off, No Crease Hair Ties...it might help the take down minimize since u would just unclip and slide it out! Thanks for the idea! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Thank you so much for this. I watched 1 headband curl video & immediately started trying to figure out how to make it work for my big head of locks. You found the solution & made my life easier.
Looking lovely as always! So good to see you!! Hey girl! Micarae here from the fotki days 🤗🤗!! I'm five weeks loc'd, started with 2 strand twists 😀😉. I'm looking forward to following your journey!
Shanice Lawrence Yes! Now that I am a consultant I actually like it better because the tip is smaller and the hook is closer to the tip! I still don’t know if I could self retie with the hook tool, but the dms is definitely a good buy for a consultant.
Ah! Your locs have gotten much smaller since I was on here regularly! I love to see the growth and transformation in your life that led to transformation in your hair as well. Thanks for being authentic to what you need and for sharing your progress. All the best with the next leg of your journey
Interesting Shawnta! I say that because I was on the whole 30 and while I lost weight, have more energy and better sleep, I'm constantly fixated on what to eat all the time. I'm chef apart from my corporate job so cooking isnt a problem for me. However, it forces me to be more creative. I did the 30 days and I'm actually still eating not eating rice, pasta, beans or dairy. I do use a little raw sugar from time to time but overall it's been a good experience. Its pretty much been a reset for me. I lost 55 lbs years ago by eating clean and working out so I just needed a jump start. Good luck to you in whichever healthy journey you decide.
Welcome back Shawnta! Thanks for the insight. I'm on my third set and I've been a subbie since your first journey. I had my first set for five years and while I liked them, I cut them for various reasons. I wanted locs soon after so the second journey began which lasted for 2 years. However there were problems because my hair texture changed to a softer, looser texture causing it to take longer to loc. Also the parting wasnt correct. Any way I'm 2 months into my third and hopefully final set of locs. This time around they are smaller and fuller. I'm loving the progress so far. I'm looking forward to seeing your sisterloc journey.
Yay! Thanks for rolling with me. Sometimes it takes a few tries to get exactly what you want or it’s just fun experiencing all the ways our hair can lock.
Girl you are so beautiful! I love the combination colors of your eye shsdow and lip color. Please do a tutorial on the eye shadow. I will NEVER forget the one you did with the blues... The cockatiel colors...aqua blue, teal, and the dark blue... That was so pretty. If you chould of seen me in the mirror that day!!!! Lol i was too cute lol ok😂😂😂
This is a good video! The editing is clean and not over the top. I like the background music and the pictures are in good places. You should put out the extensions video if you already have it filmed.😁👍🏾
About 10% of people with Type 2 Diabetes are of normal weight, so it is not entirely related to your body weight. It is still too much insulin driven by too many carbs. You may be able to get away with a low carb, but not quite ketogenic diet in order to control your pre-diabetes, but not everyone can. www.dietdoctor.com/can-low-carb-diets-result-in-hair-loss If you don't want to do keto, you might want to consider some fasting instead. I'd suggest that you watch the video at the bottom of the page: idmprogram.com/videos/ Good luck.
Q. Curious if your doing Keto alone? Keto was the first time I've followed any sort of eating guideline other then low fat/no salt told years back to my mother by a "nutritionist" which ended up making us sicker. She was on the highest dose of statins, a diuretic pill and blood pressure pills. She tried good old Weight Watchers which worked till she stopped doing it and regained all the weight and more back. Now she is off all but the blood pressure pills which are still a work in progress. Her starting weight and height have her at obese until she hits 148lbs. She has gone from 204 -> 150 (54) since we started on August 20, 2018. Her A1c was as high as 6.2 and in 4 months dropped to 5.1! Got my mother to agree going Keto with me as long as I did the cooking and logging. It helps having others going on the journey alongside you! Baking Keto sweets is one of my favorite things to do. I too think of food a lot, but as the cook it is mostly in terms of future recipes! I've also joined a Keto discord group to keep my head in the game and to acquire ideas! They've lead me to some really yummy products I'd of never found on my own. Q. Did you try supplementing Biotin for your hairloss? It won't stop what falls out but will aid in new hair growth. I've lost at least more then a third of my total hair thickness. Though I have read that it is perfectly normal with diet change and large amounts of weight loss. I've dropped from 196 -> 146 (50) which for my height of 5' 5" that is going from obese to a normal bmi. Figure it'll level out once I hit maintenance. Q. What variety of fruit do you consume? Berries are always spoken of and avocado I almost can't view in terms of a fruit. Did you know prickley pear tuna are pretty Keto friendly? Starfruit? Rambutan? Dragonfruit? In the morning with my salt water I squeeze in a Orange Mango Water Enhancer (Stur) and it does the trick of getting that tropical hit once a day.
