Bro I remember that Disney server, every winter they had a polar express event (or at least the winter i played on it) I got the nostalgia feel from that server being mentioned sad that it’s no longer played on its legitimately really well made.
35:48 So I don't know about "small scale" adventure maps, but I do know about a huge project called Drehmal: Apotheosis which is insanely in-depth. Highly recommend looking into it.
Not sure if it was a flash game but i played this game endlessly in elementary called mars explorer (? to the best of my memory) whenever my class got access to the computer lab we’d alt tab between our typing assignments and mars explorer. We’d all try to get on the same servers and just dog fight with the gliding function. I think the creator took it down and supposedly is making a sequel idk i just miss it. The game was so damn fun
my friends and I made a minecraft server like 8 years ago, worked hard on a bunch of different builds, a railway with hubs that branched every which way, then we abandoned it. until earlier this year... now theres half a dozen of us regularly playing, and one of my friends kids =) Crazy
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this series, but Epic War deserves a reboot. Literally the same thing as Age of War but Fantasy based, with Hero Characters, and in 4 (the best one) a detailed upgrade tree to unlock new units. If MTG utilized a system similar to Epic War 4, they would have a golden game
Our server has 3 different adventure maps! Hogwarts, Wild West, and Samhain: Festival of the Final Harvest. Sandlot Minecraft. I hope we don't become forgotten. We definitely have a fraction of the player base today that we had in our heyday, but we still have some dedicated players and a very welcoming community.
I hope one day I'll have a memorial sign in AW, though it's unlikely. Many hours were spent on AW between 2005-2012. Only just hearing about DMC2U and Nitecap through this video. RIP old friends. As dated and probably terribly expensive as it is to maintain, AW deserves preservation. There really is nothing else like it, so many communities and dedication by players. It is more of a metaverse than anything attempted today. I built primarily in a world called "AWTeen", because I preferred all their extra objects in their OP to build with. Sadly that world shut down some years back, so just about all of what I had ever done on AW was wiped out. There's only one area left in AlphaWorld that I had built before I even became a citizen, now lost to me since I've long since lost all my teleports through PC upgrades. I hope to return one day when I'm old, and achieve the huggle status. If you know, you know.
i used to play blockland with my buddy Jason, who got me into the game. it's been sitting in my library for years and years, and seeing it in this video was an experience for certain! the game used to be actually fairly active with a decent playerbase behind it; nothing crazy for a rather small and niche indie title, but certainly enough to not be wandering around entirely alone. building in the game is honestly very fun; those servers are custom made altogether and can even be made with enough time and effort all on your own! i spent a lot of my time just opening a private server with my friend and building our own maps together. we never made anything cool but it was fun, all the way back when i wasn't any older than like... 13-14? good times :') very nice to see you play it!
Dude you found the remains of a good cable company on the SFX server. MediaOne was ahead of its time and was a rare "affordable" cable service provider (wasn't an ISP in 90s era).
i want to play on old forgotten servers that are still up by some weird miracle, just to look around at what the players did tho idk how to that in the first place
Dear redlnye, I enjoy your content. I mostly watch your videos while I’m doing chores or cooking. Your videos bring a big brown smile to my face. I am making biscuits right now, I hope they’re good.
The minecraft mod is hilarious to me After the beginning segment, they teach you how to play minecraft... how the Hell did they even think someone who had to be Taught Minecraft could go go through and Actually Play through ALL THAT in Survival, Let Alone know how to run to pass the first werewolf segment at all, in the supposed "easy mode"???!
holy nostalgia. you just brought me back to the computer lab for two hours. Thanks Red❤️ Edit: Multiplayer Boxheads with my boy Teddy used to go so hard Edit 2: Bro Red, how old are?? It sounds like we had the exact same childhood the more and more I watch
Not related to any of the servers, but I remember playing on the Xbox 360 with a group of people back in 2013-2018 and this person had this really cool community map I played on along with irl friends and other people across the world. Sadly time goes by and I end up losing interest playing on the Xbox and I have no idea where any of these people are today and I still wonder what they're doing now. These videos bring back so many memories of those times where I just go downstairs into the basement and boot up the Xbox. Amazing content man, keep it up. (Dunno if anyone that is looking at this comment WOULD recognize "OpsIntelFusion" (think thats what it was) as a Xbox360 username but that was me then, now I am your average college student.)
