If you want her to pulse hard need to change the ports..atm she sounds like factory ports.bridge port is ok..i recomend pp..perifial port..bit more actualy alot more demanding on fuel..
When it comes to rotarys allways allways prime the pump before you start..2stroke mix in the fuel as the seals need to be somewhat lubed..by the way you have a very very awsome rx7 one of my dream rx7s
We still have actually. Just currently on the back burner. It’s more of a side project so other stuff/cars have taken priority but we’ll revisit it soon once we get decent weather.
Nice video, cool to see people reviving these little go carts. Since you'll probably be dealing with more hard lines on this in the future whether it be clutch or brake lines, you should pick up some flare nut wrenches. Maybe you already have some, but it'll help prevent you from stripping out those hydraulic flare nuts like it was close to on that clutch master cylinder haha.
@@boss_tum I live in a no emissions state thankfully. I wouldn’t go catless if that’s the case since you won’t pass. I’d look into catted/hi flow catted. Shouldn’t change sound much. I found leaving that leaving the muffler but deleting the resonator gave me the best sound with this setup (catless dp, res delete and stock muffler).
Thanks man! I appreciate that! I’ll have more this upcoming week. Kinda like a bonus since it should technically be 2 vids but I’m not about that. A lot of editing..
Thanks man! Apparently these motors are super reliable. It’s really like any other car I’ve dealt with as far as getting it running. If you still have the opportunity or another arises go for it.
Agreed! For instance, I felt like it didn’t sound quite right especially editing the video. Eventually we discovered a fueling issue as well as weak spark. Apparently these J105 igniters are problematic so we have a fix for that. Ryan mentioned something about converting to premix and not trusting the old setup. So that’s something we’ll definitely look into.
Im sure you've done a little bit of research since posting this, but i suggest next video you'll want to throw some 2 stroke mix into the gas to really keep it healthy +its been sitting so long i doubt the apex seals are really lubed up the best
We did before starting it actually as well as the rotor housing? Hence all the smoke on the initial start up. As I type this we finally got it running on both rotors.
I sold it to a chic a while back that’s kinda local. She daily drives it and it’s now purple. Almost bought a red hatch a couple of weeks ago. So I haven’t forgotten the Ef’s. IG: beautiful_efing_disaster is the new owner of mine. Been pretty busy with life though and getting the sc300 running and moving back to Florida this week. After that things will return to normal. YT takes up a lot of time surprisingly.
They’re out there man. If you’re in a big city definitely not due to code enforcement. But you’ll have a better shot cruising older neighborhoods on the outskirts of town.
Wouldn’t be a bad idea and I’d like too but it’s winter here. If it’s not cold, it’s raining. Been lucky to get a few consecutive days of decent weather.
Looking good. I was always a fan of the 240. U don't see a lot of those up here anymore. Jersey. Looking forward to seeing the end result keep up the good work.
