Man I'm happy for you. I'd be curious as to what caused that. If it did it once w/out knowing the cause... Brother do me a favor if you haven't already. You said you had Harbor Freight fuses. I saw a U-Tube video of a G-winger that found his box of assorted fuses he purchased online to be crap as in not rated for the listed amps. I did the same and found them to be in the same condition. A 10 amp looks nothing like a 30. Just lookin' out. Rubber side down.
@@BlackArcher221 Thanks for the heads up!!! I will definitely look at the fuses. So far I haven't had the fuse blow again. I have put about 3,000 miles on the bike since the fuse blew. I have started the bike at least 100 times with no issues. Hopefully, this doesn't reoccur

I have a 2024 Airbag: sometimes it will not start after a ride, all dash lights come on but no crank?? I found if I hold the front brake it starts up?? PS the 2018 looks better to me than the black and white 24.
Yeah, I know the feeling...I learned to check the fuse first after my display went out. Three days later, I checked and it was a blown fuse. Now I check that first, I also purchased the fuse that lights up when blown, so I can see which one is blown immediately.

A fuze that blows indicates a problem, replacing the fuze doesn't fix the problem, you need to do some more research to fine the root of the problem, or you may fine that you have a bigger problem while on the road with no convenient help near by. Give the name of the Goldwing forum that saved your bacon, they desire a shout out.
It's never a good feeling when your bike doesn't start and you're on the road. Luckily, in less than an hour, you were on the road. Thanks for the fuse idea. I think I'll pack a few extra.

Just came back from a weekend out there. Rode Cherohala, the Dragon (on a Saturday no less, and it wasn’t that bad), Foothills, Blood Mountain plus others - fantastic riding. Riding through Gatlinburg and the main drag in Pigeon Forge, a DCT is almost a requirement because of the insane traffic - I won’t go through there again! How do you secure the trailer when you’re out riding for the day, and did you ever have warranty issues because you had a trailer hitch installed? Great trip and video 👍
Thanks for watching. I have to add Blood Mountain next time! When I leave the hotel, sometimes I will secure the trailer to a post or a tree with a lock and cable that I carry. But, I have just left it in a parking spot without hooking it to anything and never had a problem. I try to stay in areas where it is less of a worry. Also, if I have any concerns about the trailer, I will just leave it connected to the bike all of the time.
@@craighanesworth I can see locking the trailer to something. Blood Mountain was awesome, but leave the trailer behind. I would consider the Dragon as a mere warm up in comparison!
The boots while extremely comfortable could use shift pad protection and a beefier toe box. However that would detract from the comfort your feeling now, and that's what sells that boot. Everything we do is a compromise of sorts. Awesome trip.

Thanks Chris. I decided to experiment with using different camera angles from my helmet and go directly into the camera with the audio. You know we always trying to tweak things here and there. Thanks for watching
1 of my favorite places to eat is The Apple House in Pidgeon Forge. Hwy 441 from Gatlinburg to Cherokee, nc is a must ride, I usually ride it during the week when the traffic is a little lighter.

There is just to much that is wrong with this video. Trust me there are no Harley riders who are jealous of a Gold Wing. If you know of a Harley dealer with deep discounts on their 23's please let me know. I'm looking for a 23 Road Glide ST. The dealers I'm talking with won't budge on the 23's and will sell me a 24 for less. Harley doesn't do recalls they just continue to sell you crap , even though they know there is an issue. Look up issues with the 17 through 19 they had oil sumping issues and oil pumps going bad blowing motors. No recall they don't care. If it happens during warranty they might fix it and if you're warranty expires it's your problem.. One thing you did get correct is Honda makes a better bike and one of the reasons I'll be getting a Gold Wing, unless you can find me a deal on a 23 RG ST.
The Harley riders aren’t jealous, trust me. I’ve ridden them all (tourers) and can tell you they are all great bikes. The reason the argument can be made amongst them, is each does it differently. It simply comes down to personal preference. For me the 24 Glides are emotional, visceral, and uniquely beautiful. The wing is absurdly competent, no doubt, but it’s a Honda in every way, good and a little bit of yawn. 🥱 The K bike is Teutonic to the nines. IYKYK. Can Am Spyder, amazing machine, but again, depends on your preference and riding needs. It’s not an interstate mile muncher like the cycles are. Yeah, I left out the Indian on purpose, forgettable in this field. The rest don’t even matter in the market.
Most don't realize how comfy some Adventure Bikes are. That's a pretty good runner up to the GoldWing. Nice Ride & Vlog. Is your BMW M100R about the same as Suzuki's Katana?
For me the Gold Wing’s legendary long distance ethos is it’s smoothness & peace of mind reliability. On newest generation DCT equipped, it’s so nice in stop and go and just all around use. A seamless mindless gear selection that is quick and easy. A very slick feature. The GSA is appealing to me for it’s utility aesthetics. It’s a good looking bike. But it doesn’t need so much attention to keeping it look so good with careful care of wiping it down at every fuel stop or morning pre-departure at the hotel like a Gold Wing. Gold Wings look best looking clean & dressed tight. The GSA is just in it’s natural element getting dirty. However once home, the detailing team gets after it. 😂
@@roadglide So true. I'm getting ready for another long distance ride. You make a great point. The Goldwing is worry free. The DCT allows you to remain comfortable in stop and go traffic. Ride safe!
That's a very good question, I got rid of my cbr600f sport f4i about 6 months ago. And i regret selling it every day since. The worst part about it is I'll never get another one for the same money I paid for the one I had. I still have two adventure bikes. One is an Aprilia Caponord Rally Raid and the other is a Cagiva Elefant E750LE. I am very attached to these two bikes. I am also after a Cagiva Elefant 650 Lucky Explorer. And I know I'll get attached to every bike I have. I also want to have someone build me a featherweight road legal sports bike with a Ducati 750 belt driven air/oil cooled L twin engine in it. It's going to be the lightest and fastest Ducati on the road. Well maybe not the fastest but faster than most other newer sports bikes. By the way I am from the UK.
