My brother, my brother, I am really enjoying your videos. I’m on video number four went back two years ago because I like your helmet set up and the wireless mics keep the videos coming.
Great video! Great to hear this long standing Rally is sustaining itself and going strong. You are correct. This shin-dug is a for-profit endeavor. The old days of roam free and park free have been eaten up by insurance and community service support. Hotels and retail all love the influx and have it marked on the calendar. It’s no different than all mass visited events over several days, like downtown town Arts/ Music Festivals, State and County Fairs, etc. Totally agree the Lake George area is a gorgeous area with great riding. On a special note. The beautiful C.Hanesworth Pearl White Gold Wing DCT Tour and Bushtec Trailer combo once again graces the big screen. The Bohn Armor looks great on you too. I liked the nicely decked out R1250 GSA featured at the SW MotoTech tent. Looked like a great trip. Safe travels and many miles of smiles. ATGATT.
In 2015 the Surfside was still reasonable, parking was free, and no entry fee to roam the vendor area. Good news is, ya don’t have to wait for Americade to ride the Lake George area. Nice ride and walk 👍
I have gone to Americade for 31 years straight, even the year they canceled due to covid. I was going to call it my last year, but friends of mine which haven't gone in 20 years decided their going, so #32 will probably happen. Maybe someday I'll meet you 😃 😊
Nice video. The music is to much though. I'd rather hear the bikes and the sounds on the street. We have heard about this rally/show and may try to get there next year. Thanks for the video!!
What's going on Craig. I'm one of the people you met in the hotel lobby from Georgia. The group that I ride with was there watching the NBA playoffs when you walked in. Thanks for the Niagara Falls tips. We took your advice and stayed on the Canadian side, and it was awesome. It seems we bump into one another a couple of times a year. Last year, we bumped into one another while filming the light show at Wing-Ding in Shreveport. Perhaps we'll see you in Litchfield for Wing'D Riders. Take care bruh
Jon. It was great seeing you and a pleasure speaking with you. I'm glad that you enjoyed your trip to Canada. I am still on the fence on whether I can make it to Litchfield. I would love to go but have to see if I can get off from work. Hopefully I will see you. Have fun and ride safe!
Imo it was the smalleat americade attendance ever. Least amount of accidents also. And i saw more gold wings than usual. That was nice. But the lack of rare or original bikes kinda bummed me. They had concerts at chatles wood park tree great bands friday amd saturday that bately anyone attended. Maybe 20-30 peoole friday amd abput 40 saturday
LAKE GEORGE AMERICADE HAS NOT BEEN THE SAME SINCE BEFORE THE COVID, MOST PEOPLE COMPLAIN ABOUT THE DRASTIC PRICE HIKE FOR THE ROOMS AND THE VENDORS PARTICIPATION HAS DROPPED
Actualy heard te warrensburg one had more peolle than ever this year, it hallens thale same weekend. I jever went up to that one like i usualy do at warren county fairgrounds just ten mi utes or so north. Did you happen to check that one out also?
I've been going to Americade since 1988 and haven't missed one but I have to say that this year was the most disappointing event. Closing off ANY thoroughfare for entertainment events is a mistake making congested travels even more so. Should never have closed off Beach Road as that is a main connection point between Canada Street and Lake Shore Drive. Also the volume of vendors and variety of same has seemed to have declined. Perhaps I'm being too nostalgic.
Thanks for watching. I didn't finding navigating around as I took W. Brook to get over as opposed to Beach Rd. I wonder if they closed off beach and put the vendors there so it would appear that they had more vendors than they actually did? Reduce them to a smaller space? The one great thing about Americade is the roads! Ride safe!
