I can handle your choice of music! It makes it easier to focus on on your build and how you do it and what you use,I appreciate that! Thank-you, Canada
Lovely cabin and obviously well thought out. All the spaces seem very functional, well built and pretty to look at, all at the same time. The stream is a huge gem for me, as I can’t imagine having a cabin without a year around water source. Thank you for sharing, you do beautiful work
I've spent quite a bit of time in your beautiful country! Friends in Kildare, lived in Sligo, and worked in Dublin. the plate was a gift. Whereabouts are you?
Hi love your cabin. The only thing I would’ve done different is your loft I would’ve had just two windows the full size floor to roof window With a upright split in the middle to support your roof😊
This is the 1st time I've seen your video/cabin/property. WOW! I'm looking for property in Maine to build a cabin in. My 37yo nephew was so polite when he told me I'm getting to old for this!! 😮 He's kinda right. But i still want to try. I used to live in Maine when i was in the Navy, a very long time ago. I came back to Alabama for ailing Grandparents, and my parents. Only have my Mom left now. She knows my plans. But she also knows I wouldn't dream of leaving her. Ok, now you know my life, where is your cabin? ✝️🙏❤🇺🇸
@PenniacWilderness I've talked to him about it. He doesn't have a job and hasn't worked in years. His mother, my sister told her 35yo son he can't go up there. I just laughed and laughed! She does more damage than good. I put it in the hands of the LORD! ✝️🙏❤️🇺🇲🇨🇦
Hi buddy how are ya? Great video!! I bought this sharpener about a year ago, and I haven’t run it yet. I bought 3 boxes of 15 blades from wood mizer and I’ve been running those. I like the double hard blades they can cut 4-5 washes logs before they start getting dull. I will begin to use the sharpener this as I have a huge order of lumber to cut for a customer. Thank you for the video I know it will help me when I tune in the machine. Have a great day, God bless you and your family. I’ve subscribed to the channel for a very long time, I admire you work and attention to detail!
For all the videos I've looked at you guys do wonderful work!! Attention to detail I mean you guys really have it together and I wonder why you build your cabin so small and then build an outhouse when you can build a house just my opinion attached to the back of it or the side that way you don't have to get dressed and 20 below weather just to run to the bathroom!!! 😮
Wrong measurements results of double work. If the measurement is good no need the screen and the cement and spent a lot of money and time unless it is intentional to put in between.
4:34 wouldn't be a bad time to use the log dogs if you're going to have two people peeling the same log at the same time. Something tells me that's why the two of you kept looking at each other lol. great videos tho man! i am also in the process of building a "mini cabin" and loving the little tips and techniques i have been getting from all the videos and books i've been watching and reading
Building an off-grid dovetail log cabin in the Canadian wilderness is a testament to patience, craftsmanship, and self-sufficiency. The process, especially over three years, requires a deep commitment to living close to nature and embracing a sustainable lifestyle.
Nice! Gonna look extra good with the beam darked, little bit of contrast eh. :) I would probably just leave the birch untreated and let it get it's patina in time, but I have never tried treating birch bark so maybe it's a good idea to treat it so it don't flake off as easily. Keep up the good work and good luck with your new projects! Cheers!

That is a most beautiful log cabin that you have built. I do hope that you have several heavy-duty fire extinguishers at the ready. Thank you for sharing.
