Ive heard different optinions of setting LL to Ultra. Not sure whats best. Also...why dont we set Vsyn in Nvidia NCP, and also cap Max FPS there to lets say 72, which is half (50 percent) of my monitors FPS. I think most often you get best results of changing such settings in the NCP. Any reason not to do that in this case? Great video! =) =)
Helloo! Very great video, i have seen most of your other vids aswell and your tutorials are fantastic i love 'em. However i have one question, any ideas how to get rid of touchdown stutters?
@@rwyinsight Happens even at default airports, like it's part of the game of smth. I tried removing touchdown effects and tried other forum related ideas but I got nothing :p
How much money do I have to spend on an Xbox controller? I was looking a few months ago, and they can get *expensive*. And then, on the other hand, I've seen a slew of generic ones, that are dirt cheap...Please advise.
Some points... 1) Setting your "OpenGL rendering GPU" is nonsense and won't have any effect on msfs. MSFS is using DirectX to render and not OpenGL. 2) Threaded optimization: This allows the GPU to offload some tasks to the CPU. In most cases this is a bad idea for MSFS because most people are limited by their CPU in MSFS. So it's better to keep those calculations on the GPU since it is not fully utilized anyway. Only if you are GPU limited this _might_ help. 3) It is well known that DX12 provides better framerates on newer systems but it does come with some visuals artifacts and errors (such as clipping errors on runway and taxiway textures). Just do a simple google search and you will see the forums are full of such examples. That is why many people prefer to stick to DX11 even though the performance is not as good as DX12. Also if you have a 4090 or want to use frame generation then DX12 becomes more viable because FG is only available on DX12.
Thomas thank you so much. This has given me me such a boost within the performances wow total game changer. Thank you for your time and dedication. Top man.
The problem with lossless scaling is that it wasn’t primarily made for games with continuous world rendering and auto generated areas. That’s why frame gen works well only when looking straight ahead rather than when moving the camera and looking side to side in simulators such as MSFS.
@@rwyinsight Well generally flightsims (apart from DCS) don't really require any drastic head movements like FPS, MOBA, etc. If anything that can benefit from frame gen, it would be msfs imo.
i still get around 35 fps is it because of my monitor? I have to use a 4k resolution and i have 16gb of ram and a 4060 would you suggest something else
4K screen will always result in lower performance. I would recommend setting your in-game resolution to 4K and lowering other settings. Try reducing the ones mentioned in this video even more and/or go through all the other options to find the perfect balance. We have a very different systems so you’ll need to test it out. You could also check out my other MSFS tutorial videos which have some more information on finding the best visuals/performance balance.
2:52 I would also like to point out to an already great guide on how DirectX 12 comes with a load of visual glitches from our testing. If you use DirectX 12, disable it ASAP regardless of the guide, unless you are using a RTX 4000 GPU or above, which utilises this rendering engine better for performance than older GPUs. :) Thank you for a great video.
I’m using P3DV5 and the latest AS330. For some reason when I fly long hauls the plane starts lagging when around 6 hours has passed and my fps drops to around 20. Have you had this kind of problem?
@@rwyinsight Right. I found some topics that stated that it coul be the groving log file, but I have no idea how to fix it. Sucks becouse the a330 would have so many good flights but the fps ruins it.
What sort of lag are we talking about? If you are experiencing lag spikes or similar problems, this tutorial should help you achieve much smoother gameplay. If it is something more specific, then I would recommend searching online for further details regarding your issue.
@@rwyinsight so this one is kinda of a weird one so i have 2. So my mouse has a weird delay but it still works. But when im in the world map is it’s laggy like a old computer.
I remember when msfs first cam out and the clouds looked amazing. then a few updates later and it's absolutely horrible. I hope they fix this in msfs 2024.
Hello, will the weather, weather quality, drawings and number of frimes be updated, when will the game be released and what are the ideal requirements? Pro
Why in the world would you not activate DX12? It might still be in beta because of frame generation, but it brings a lot of performance enhancements. On top of that, you should say in the title that this is for low-end PCs, you basically have everything set to off or medium.
Lol dude this video is terrible. DX12 is required for FG. You don't have a clue mate lol. Another moron regurgitating settings they saw elsewhere but know fuck all about.
Not really with add-ons like Fenix A320, heavy sceneries and ultra-wide screen for example :) . These settings will give you the ultimate balance between visuals and performance.
