Sookie is type 3, w2 in my opinon, because - Basic Fear: Of being worthless,Basic Desire: To feel valuable and worthwhile. Caring a lot for others as a type 2. Healthy threes, like Sookie, are self-assured, energetic, and competent with high self-esteem: they believe in themselves and their own value. Adaptable, desirable, charming, and gracious. they are ambitious to improve themselves, to be “the best they can be”. Highly concerned with their performance, doing their job well, constantly driving self to achieve goals as if self-worth depends on it. Terrified of failure. this all comes out in her job. Paris is also type 3, but a very unhealthy one. fearing failure and humiliation, deceptive, vindictive, relentless, obsessed with success and image.
Lorelai is a type 8 (wing 7): Decisive, authoritative, and commanding: the natural leader others look up to. Take initiative, make things happen: champion people, provider, protective, and honorable, carrying others with their strength. Self-assertive, self-confident, and strong: have learned to stand up for what they need and want. A resourceful, “can do” attitude and passionate inner drive.. Become self-restrained and magnanimous, merciful and forbearing, mastering self through their self-surrender to a higher authority. Courageous, willing to put self in serious jeopardy to achieve their vision and have a lasting influence. ....Begin to dominate their environment, including others: want to feel that others are behind them, supporting their efforts. Swaggering, boastful, forceful, and expansive: the “boss” whose word is law. Proud, egocentric, want to impose their will and vision on everything, not seeing others as equals or treating them with respect........Self-sufficiency, financial independence, and having enough resources are important concerns: become enterprising, pragmatic, “rugged individualists,” wheeler-dealers. Risk-taking, hardworking, denying own emotional needs.
Paris Geller is, i think, Enneagram type 3: pragmatic and efficient, but also premeditated, losing touch with their own feelings beneath a smooth facade. Problems with intimacy, credibility, and “phoniness” emerge. Want to impress others with their superiority: constantly promoting themselves, making themselves sound better than they really are. Narcissistic, with grandiose, inflated notions about themselves and their talents. Exhibitionistic and seductive, as if saying “Look at me!” Arrogance and contempt for others is a defense against feeling jealous of others and their success. Fearing failure and humiliation, they can be exploitative and opportunistic, covetous of the success of others, and willing to do “whatever it takes” to preserve the illusion of their superiority... Devious and deceptive so that their mistakes and wrongdoings will not be exposed. Untrustworthy, maliciously betraying or sabotaging people to triumph over them. Delusionally jealous of others. vindictive, attempting to ruin others’ happiness. Relentless, obsessive about destroying whatever reminds them of their own shortcomings and failures.
i think Emily Gilmore is Enneagram type 1:Can be highly dogmatic, self-righteous, intolerant, and inflexible. Begin dealing in absolutes: they alone know “The Truth.” Everyone else is wrong: very severe in judgments, while rationalizing own actions. Become obsessive about imperfection and the wrongdoing of others (every maid, or Emily's own daughter, etc.) although they may fall into contradictory actions, hypocritically doing the opposite of what they preach. Become condemnatory toward others, punitive and cruel to rid themselves of wrongdoers. Ones are people of practical action- they want to be useful in the best sense of the word. On some level of consciousness, they feel that they “have a mission” to fulfill in life, if only to try their best to reduce the disorder they see in their environment. Ones have a strong sense of purpose, they also typically feel that they have to justify their actions to themselves, and often to others as well. This orientation causes Ones to spend a lot of time thinking about the consequences of their actions, as well as about how to keep from acting contrary to their convictions. Because of this, Ones often persuade themselves that they are “head” types, rationalists who proceed only on logic and objective truth. But, the real picture is somewhat different: Ones are actually activists who are searching for an acceptable rationale for what they feel they must do.

while the series starts getting frustrating by the end i do feel like some growth was made by most characters but then its the REBOOT that undoes EVERYTHING
I know I am a year late to this video but! Ive always noticed how out of place Loralai's boyfriend's house (I think his name was Jason) felt in the show. The style there felt so different to everything else in the show.
I am 14 right now, watched the show with my elder sister when i was 11/12. Jess has always been my fav character and not because i have like a crush on him or smth but his character just has soo much potential i just can't believe the writers fumbled him this bad and I don't even ship rory/jess a lot
In the end, Mitchum was right, unfortunately. I used to think that he actually tested her, because the things he said - "you don't have it what it takes to be a journalist" could be proven wrong by Rory's persistence, her not abandoning everything on the spot. Remember, Cars 3 - a female car from the older generation, Louise Nash, was directly and bluntly told off, wasn't even given a race number - but she believed that was what she wanted, so she stole the number and did it despite everything.
Why do we have to like Rory? Why does she have to be the hero? What character trait does she have that makes us want to root for her? If that's what you want from the show, you might as well stop watching at the end of season 3. Maybe we should trust the direction ASP took, that this girl has too many things piling up against her (both internal and external) and that her train wreck of a life is more entertaining than it would have been if she learned because, uh, she read a lot?
Wow, self reflection! Why is there the need to fix anyone? The only person I need to fix/work on is myself. It's up to Rory to change herself and my job to have acceptance that people dont always turn out the way I want them to.
Chad Michael Murray was so bad at basketball that the producers had to hire a coach just to make him look even moderately believable and his lack of ability slowed down production because they had to reshoot scenes until he makes it.
The creator of the show wanted Chad Michael Murray to play Nathan because he had seen his acting roles and how he always played the bad guy, but the producers had many disagreements over him playing either Lucas or Nathan and so they decided to bring him in for his opinion and he said that he was interested in playing Lucas because that character's life had a lot of similarities to his own life. James Lafferty had more experience as a basketball player than as an actor and he auditioned for Lucas but didn't get it because he wasn't what directors saw as Lucas and after some auditions for Nathan, he was given notes on his acting and the directors did not see him as suitable for the role, but they called him back to five or six auditions and that they were only going to bring him to the network because they just didn't have the guy and on his first day of acting for the network he came in and just blew everybody away like surprisingly away. The producers had met Hilarie Burton in casting for the movie Radio, after she was just coming off her MTV work and hadn't really done much acting since she was principally a television host, but she had a remarkable quality.
Bethany Joy Lenz said that she thought that Haley's storyline with Nathan was brought in just as another conflict with Lucas but then it changed when she and Lafferty had chemistry.
Bethany Joy Lenz said that when she watched this episode that she thought that they were setting up a Dawson/Joey relationship with Lucas/Haley because that's what they were originally going for, but Chad and Joy had no chemistry, so it just didn't work and their energy was so sibling-ness, that it didn't happen.
Hilarie Burton said that the vibe of the series was originally a really sweet, small-town aw-shucks kind of show but with this 8 Mile underbelly of the kid from the wrong side of the tracks.
Sophia Bush had to audition three times and in her first audition she was rejected for not being sexy enough, then in her second audition she was rejected for being too sexy and in her third audition she was finally given the role.
Oh snap!!! I’m surprised they didn’t just give her any of those “pointers” during her audition. I’m definitely thinking like La La land style when she’s in the audition and they give her “pointers”, but that’s super interesting!! I think she’s a fantastic actor!!
The creator initially wrote this as a movie called Ravens and he sent the producers a short 25-page script and after reading it they approached the creator about pursuing the project because they were interested in the premise but believed that it should be a TV series instead so that way, they can spend more time with these characters in this world, but the creator wasn't sold on the idea but the producers refused to give up and so they pursued him for 4 years about the project and told him that it would be better as a Television series, then he finally gave in and agreed to develop it as a show instead but he said that the network wasn't in love with the name because they felt like it was too sport-centric, since Ravens is the name of the basketball team and so he renamed it One Tree Hill which is a U2 song from the band's 1987 album, The Joshua Tree which he had been listening to while writing the original script and so he suggested the title with the idea of naming the fictional town in the series Tree Hill and the network loved it, then after getting the cast they realized that there wasn't enough humor and then after The O.C. debuted they had to turn up the sexy because they were competing with them since The O.C. had started out with high rating's while One Tree Hill had started out with low rating's but then it picked up after their second week and by the eighth week it had gotten enough attention from the network that they decided that they were going to keep it and not pull the plug but people were always afraid that they would end up getting cancelled or lost in the clutter of all the new shows and high concepts.
Oh my gosh thank you so much for this!! That is so cool to learn the background! I definitely need to listen to that song while I edit the next episode! Do you know if that writer stays the whole series or did he eventually hand it over to another writer?
I loved the 1st and the seasons with Jess, so I guess Jess was in the 2nd and 3rd? I didn’t like it when Rory went to college and when she had an affair with married Dean. It was sad and a bummer
Totally agreed!! I'm a big early season rewatcher for sure!!! After Rory leaves yale and the whole dean debacle, i get more choosy my rewatch episodes lol
I enjoyed this SO much!!! 🥰 feels so good to have a RU-vid soulmate talking about the stuff I find appealing 😍 instead of the sad beige area we live in …
Ok, so I only take issue with one thing, and it’s something that seems to get brought up a lot. She wasn’t prepared for that interview with Sandy Says, because Sandy led her to believe she had already got the job. I don’t think I would have been prepared either if I was in her shoes because I would have gone into it with completely different expectations. She already established in past episodes (the impromptu interview at Yale) that she doesn’t handle things as well when she isn’t prepared, so this isn’t AS out of character for her. But that’s just one drop in the turbulent pool of Rory. Lol
One of my favorite videos! ❤Kudos for baking 😅 You channeled Sussie. But Moral of the story to make it more pleasurable (for me) 😅 try to buy all the food and only eat like this for a cozy day to relax. I also would be feeling like you after the movie dinner 🎥 🍽 .Also we can treat ourselves with fancy old restaurant dinner and that would be "Emily's friday night dinner/parties 😅. Or to a town fair, 🎪 date, or picnic. That way we can tone down the unhealthy without cheating 😂 but still enjoy popcorn or cotton candy 🍬 😉
Yes!! 100% my stomach hurt so bad, I try to only have one or two sweets and salty while watching a movie!! Way more enjoyable that way!! I’m so glad you liked the video!! I hope you get to enjoy your cozy relaxing day very soon!!
@@AVintageJoy I'm binge watching your videos 📹 because they are helping me calm down my nervous system after a period of high stress and not slowing down I forgot how to get warm and cozy. Also I love the pace that you speak I normally speed up videos 📹 and with you I don't. This channel is a hidden gem 💎 ✨ Thank you so much! May you always feel loved and cozy 🍁☕🌟
I just got up to this part of the show and I’m not even kidding you i screamed he ruined there chances of having a label and they haven’t spoken in weeks and Dave was named after Amy’s best friends husband who also was named lane and Dave was perfect for her it just doesn’t seem right he went through all that effort just to go to college and we don’t see his goodbye
I totally agree!!! I really feel like it’s because the actor is just too good and got his own show…but poor Dave and lane got the short end of the stick because of that! Breaks my heart too!! Is it your first time watching?
the weird dancing thing in the revival was a weird out of nowhere tribute to Julie Taymor's Across The Universe......Which, I love that movie too, but HUH????????????? Idk, it didn't evoke any warm fuzzies or happiness from me, I was just bored/rolling my eyes.
