Hilarie Burton said that the vibe of the series was originally a really sweet, small-town aw-shucks kind of show but with this 8 Mile underbelly of the kid from the wrong side of the tracks.

I think you being upset and disappointed at what you think will happen while watching, might take away from your enjoyment of the show. I will say this show is very unpredictable as it moves forward, lol. I feel like you need this to be GG. I've never seen the show, so maybe it's similar or maybe it's not, Idk. You make that show sound wholesome, so probably not 😂. I mean OTH is wholesome, but it's also VERY dramatic and messy. It might not rank up there with GG for you or be what you need it to be in relation to GG, but it really is a special show with some amazing characters. In most cases, the seemingly pointless drama really does add to the great development of these characters. (I did say in most cases 😂.)

While I questioned Nathan’s choices about telling Haley why he went to her for tutoring, I feel like it made them closer. I feel like when there was any obstacle in their way or any disagreement it definitely made them stronger. Well, that’s really a lot of couples, but you can see that a lot in their relationship.
