I do thorough research on keyboards, even to the extent on who exactly develops the firmware, tech, circuitry and how experienced they are. A warned a friend of mine not to take this out to a live performance and it froze up on him in the middle of a wedding engagement.
Kaoss Freezung yes, I have this Problem too. Also broken LEDs. And I don't loaded corrupt Styles or MiDi-Files, I just use preset sounds and effects. Also buttons on the right side give strange sound, if you push them from the side. I like this keyboard, but I have to many bugs in the hardware and sometimes in the software, and I use this Keyboard moderately. Thank you for posting this videos, it helps me so much, to understand, that I am not alone with this problems.
I would do a factory reset and then see how its working. Also, just an observation -- your pressing of buttons so fast and in rapid succession is likely to lead to software errors. Slow down. I doubt it can keep up. Slow down and create easily reproducible errors that can be provided to Korg support to fix/investigate.
It is true that this keyboard has still bugs and features not finished even with 1.3 update. Korg has to realize that they are making a lot troubles on their clients who have bought this high expensive instrument. Korg must now make a big, hard and serious work to solve all these problems with a real update and not some jokes like this 1.3 update !
Maybe if people actually checked the meta data of the samples before loading unknown samples they would not have these problems. Check the TPQN of the midi of the styles, open the set as a text file to view the hidden history. Stop loading corrupted data from unknown sources it's just stupidity
Strange how I don't have these issues and none of my sound and style customers have these issues. I think the biggest bug is people who don't read the manual and buy from non reputable sources
Yeah, I'm sure the manual will help, when in the middle of playing, all keys and buttons just stop working including the touch screen. And this happened to me on multiple occasions! And I'm NOT alone in this issue.
Having bought the pa5x beginning last year, I am glad to finally see the PA5X flex it's muscles for the first time, it now surpasses every competitor in the market place. It's unmatched flexibility in original music creation capabilites now surpasses everything ever released in an arranger keyboad congratulations Korg this truly separates you for the rest. We just still need the quick record.

And FREEZING is THE issue that caused me to return it after 3 weeks. I then bought a Yamaha Genos2 and have had NO issues and have never looked back. The Korg PA5x is an unreliable $5K ship's ballast that belongs with the fish as an artificial reef!
I bought it and after a week I realized that KORG failed this time. I returned the unit and I saved $$$$$. Also, I relieved of the stress 😅😅😅😅of having a inestable keyboard. PA5X it’s a joke, and so expensive unit
Korg Pa5X has many bug issues, it freezes up most times, its a very bad performance tool and will never get resolved. They have dropped the price of this to less then a third of its value just to get rid of the excess stock.Wouldn't recommend them, its piece of badly designed fancy junk
The second problem is in style to when i create style and make diffrent sound like on acc1 or drums to when i make styles with difrents sound its problem
Still lot of Bugs in the Korg Software and Firmware that needs to be ironed out, not a perfect intsrument. Ok to experiment and play around with but wouldnt reccomend Live stage it would likely freeze up in performance.
The big disappointment is that Korg published a list of frequently asked questions and answers almost two years ago, indicating that they were working on a new design of the Sequencer with the QUICK RECORD that would be implemented in the next system update operating. Have done two OS updates and still NOTHING at this level.
The reason why Korg did not come with the updates, because those guys whom was working for korg are now back in factory before they were not there that is why Korg did not come with huge updates
The INSERTS FX doesnt work on OUT 1,2 3,4 on percusion usersounds or if you use a drum sound or percusion sound on a track like ACC1 2 3 4 5 the INSERT is not responding... i repeat this if you use OUT1 2 3 4...on left & right is work
Is it a full list of changes? While in general I pretty much like the features, it doesn't fully correspond to the FAQ page, although it definitely overlaps with what was promised: Still no Sequencer? No Step edit? No Midi to Style functionality? No Velocity Curves? All in all, I think Korg's team does the best they can, despite all the negative buzz around this instrument. If these are the features planned, then I think yet another big update will come in future :)
Great news! I think with this update the KORG will be even better than the Yamaha Genos 2. I play both, as you can hear on my channel. But the different sounds and functions compared to the PA5X are amazing. I am excited about the possibilities the PA5X offers me. With the new system update it will of course be even better. Yours, Detlef
