I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis back in Dec of '99. I've lost a lot to this disease and have most of the symptoms you see on the lists (fatigue, numbness, tremors, pain, cognitive stuff, etc.). I've had to leave many hobbies behind as things have progressed-auto-mechanics and photography to name two. I also have an essential tremor, so my shaking can get pretty bad. It made things like soldering pretty much impossible. But I had Deep Brain Stimulation surgery in Nov '23 and it's been a life-changer! I decided to pick up locksport as a hobby to not only give me something mechanical to do again but as physical therapy for my hands. It's gone better than I expected! I mean, I don't get accused of approaching my hobbies half-assed, but a Goal Z open after only 110 days of picking *and* I shake that bad? I have a theory as to why, but I'll save that for a video. I'll be using this channel to share my experiences in the hope that those in a similar situation will find it useful.
