Can’t you just make it your policy to shower prior to appointments?? Coming into appointments with a clean bare face I think would be a bare minimum requirement if they are seeking service lol can’t you just refuse service if they don’t meet your policy guidelines??

As a former beautician and entrepreneur I agree with all your tips , love how you say “ know your worth “ it’s a physical and mental job ladies, you must have passion and a calling … on my page I also teach sales skills which was the biggest reason I lasted as long as I did in the industry, you must learn sales, it’s part of the treatment ❤

It’s so crazy how SHORT Florida is, compared to Alabama where we have to have 1000+ hours and it’s close to a year long. I’m so mad lol. And their hours are insane here. Legit like 8-10 hours a day, every day. Whyyyy is it so long in that case lol. I wanna go back to FL and get my license 😅
Really girl? I'm 55 year's old and just registered for school (facial/esthisician school) and so far I feel like everyone is younger than me and I have nothing in common but more importantly being judged and treated differently just because of my age. Which makes me almost want to give up. So sad.

Florida is the Wild West for esthetics. LOL. I am based out of Fort Lauderdale, and there is a lot of "basement spas" here. A main key is to be as legit as possible. Quality services and products are key.
